Great quiet location with Mountain View but just 1 minute walk from the central streets of Reykjavík. Home like atmosphere , clean room which smells of freshness everyday. Literally packed with any thing you might need for personal care and for preparing a meal. . Comfortable large beds and more than enough heat to forget the cold outside. Elevators are available for higher levels and spotted one outside next to the outer stair. Reception staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. Excellent!

The location cannot be better, the hotel design is modern but cozy, the staff were extremely accommodating and got us into our room at 10:30am as we were just getting off a red eye - hugely appreciated. The bed and the linens made you feel like you’re snoozing on a cloud.

Nice suits on the 20th floor with a fantastic view of the ocean. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast in the room was delicious and too much for us :) A self-service bar with a free coffee/tee is an excellent complimentary. We enjoyed our stay here.

Get here just before sunrise for a delight. Whilst it wasn't a completely clear day when I visited the sky did not disappoint with it's shades of orange and reds which reflected of the silver of the sculpture. I was even lucky enough to see a rainbow over the mountains! Stunning.

    Beautiful art.

Beautiful art. Sadly no information to be found at the site that explained who made it, what it was made of, etc... I also did not care for how many people were climbing on it. Tip: if you want a picture of this go really early in the morning before all the people show up.

This spot is a must have photo op. Don't spoil the the sheer raw beauty of the stark sculpture and an awesome sunrise or sunset with a selfie. Let your camera record the structure and land/sea scape as it was intended. Easy to get to from the main street too.

I call it, the "Simple Beauty". So unassuming but because of where it's positioned it becomes much more than just the scheletum of an old viking boat. It's beautiful with the sun shining over it and also at night under the lights!

Can you imagine something that size voyaging toward the setting sun? Yet they did. And landed here, settled here, struggled here, and they won. Perhaps because of its simplicity, I could place my ancestors in the seats.
