I almost got pickpocketed !
I almost got pickpocketed ! good thing my pouch was attached with a chain. Very crowded and too many people allowed in at once so it was almost impossible to really see anything. It seems making lots of money is the only thing that the people that run the place care about. The Colosseum and the Roman Forum area are interesting, but crowded. Disgusting, the ticket site and booking.com, changed times and all three tickets at the same time, tired to communicate with both sites, no joy wasted hundreds of dollars, way too many people booked for every second of the day, it is too chaotic, I nearly flew home to Australia, that's how bad the service was their and booking.com, you didn't answer or help. The rental was in a quiet neighborhood, but close to restaurants, grocery, landmarks, etc. The hosts were very attentive and kind, the apartment was clean and well-kept. The park across from the rental is a gem in bustling Rome-it was such a peaceful, beautiful park and led you right to the Colosseum.
