A must see when visiting Verona , the courtyard becomes very crowded most of the time but you can see the balcony and have your photo taken with Juliet ( obviously caressing her boob) it’s very much accepted that you would want to do that . You don’t have to visit inside (payable) as the courtyard will allow you to see what you need.,expect a queue !

Much less than meets the eye here.

Much less than meets the eye here. You can enter the courtyard free to take a picture of the balcony where presumably Romeo came to woo Juliet, or pay to enter a small museum inside the apartment. The balcony is not original. It was added to commercialize the site in the 1900s. There is also a statue of Juliet in the courtyard, where people do very creepy things to Juliet while taking photos. C’mon people, she was 15.

The question is, did the Bard or didn't the Bard visit Verona.....academics say he didn't, so is this the famous/infamous balcony!!?? Who cares, as it's smack off a main shopping thoroughfare, so after you've seen it go for a coffee or some retail therapy! Plenty more to admire in this ancient walled city!

We had purchased verona cards, you can use this to visit Juliet’s house. You will still need to pre book on Juliet’s house website. We went early as it gets very busy, especially the court yard, which does not require booking.

If you really want to take a picture from Giulietta's...

If you really want to take a picture from Giulietta's balcony then pay for the ticket, otherwise, there is nothing relevant to see inside. (the pictures from the balcony don't show much, the best idea is to have 1 person go up, and another one stay outside and take the photos from below.) The courtyard is free and is worth the quick visit.
