The best welcome and service! We were impressed on how nice and warm everyone was, specially the reception. What a fantastic team! The room itself was very cute, clean and comfortable, and with a beautiful view. Location was perfect! We had such a wonderful time, we definitely recommend and if in Venice again, this will be our top choice.

This hotel was the "full package" for us. The room was large, nice, and comfy. The staff was really nice. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The location was great. It is a 20-30 minute walk to San Marco square, but it is a nice area with tons of shops and restaurants. And the area of Venice that the hotel is in is less crowded.

Be sure to go to the Admiralty and look at the big marble...

Be sure to go to the Admiralty and look at the big marble lion. It is the twin of the one in Piraeus stolen by Venitians during one of the wars. And it is covered with Viking runes because the Varangians (as the Viking Rus were called) served in the Emperor's guard. One famous one was Harald Hadrada, who married a Kievan princess after returning from Constantinople and then went on to fight and pillage (like a good viking) all over northern Europe.
