United KingdomFriendly, welcoming staff. Traditional Japanese room with tatami floor, futons, screens and low table with floor seats. Excellent location close to the Shinkyo Bridge and the Nikko National Park. Our room had the bonus of a balcony looking over the river. Lovely to sleep listening to the river flow.
Nice to have the baths to use too.

The Nikko Station hotel was in a great location, just a block from the Tobu Nikko station, where the train from Asakusa comes in, and also where the World Heritage shuttle bus picks up. The staff were really nice, although no one really spoke much English. My room was very large and the bed was large and comfortable. The AC worked great too, and I appreciated the refrigerator and kettle in the room. The breakfast was just OK.

Location right next to Shinkyo bridge! 5 min drive away from Tobu nikko station. Walkable! Breakfast were excellent and Kaiseki dinner was superb and gorgeous! Onsen was beautiful and relaxing. Free pick up to and from hotel was a plus! Staff were very kind and helpful.

The host is very friendly and welcoming. She has handful of maps ready with her if you need.
The stay gives feeling of staying in Japanese house unlike hotel, which I loved.
Location is great, really short walk from JR Nikko Station and Tobu Nikko Station.
Breakfast was delicious. We told the host that we are vegetarian and she served veg breakfast.

It's a great option for Nikko, close to the station- Tobu Nikko station. Our room has a little balcony which we really love. The bathhouse downstairs is a really nice bonus. During our stay I didn't see anyone else using it, had the whole bathhouse to myself.

The hotel facilities were very nice. The front desk staff only spoke Japanese but we managed to understand one another. The massage chairs were amazing. The buffet - holy cow the amount of food. Our room was large and clean. We enjoyed the bath services inside the room and outside. There is a free shuttle. It is closer to the Tobu Nikko Station. We didn't' realize and took a taxi the day we arrived.

This apartment was awesome! We had a great stay. The room was clean and in a great location. The location is excellent only short walk to the Shinkyo Bridge. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We loved the futon and good sleeping here. The owner so kind to pick up us at Tobu Nikko station and also bring us back to station in the last day in Nikko.Everything about this apartment is superb value.

This “hotel” (honestly, it should be classified as a motel) was fairly close to both the JR Nikko and the Tobu Nikko stations, which was the only positive aspect of my 3-nights-cut-short-to-2 (because this place was so terribly uncomfortable) stay.
