When I booked it, I didn’t realise how prime the location was. Tucked away in the beautiful district of Belem, this hotel blends almost seamlessly into the natural cadence of the community as though it’s been there for years. Upon arrival, the staff was immediately courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. Just excellent! I enjoyed that even though I arrived prior to check-in, the staff readily accommodated me and found a ready room for me. Will definitely be back!!!

It was covered up due to restorations, however, the surrounding areas were nice to walk along and we really enjoyed the sunset. Unfortunately, we had bought a Lisboa City Pass, and this was useless since nearly Monastery was closed, and we had to wait for over an hour for the tram to arrive! If we had known this, we would have taken a taxi. RECOMMEND NOT buying the City Pass and instead use public transport or Uber.

It was closed for restoration and covered in scaffolding.

It was closed for restoration and covered in scaffolding. But we were able to go up to the top of Monument of the Discoveries, which had a very short line and fantastic view. Also a history of the sardine exhibition that was super interesting.

Just a share!!

Just a share!! The day I went, I ended up in the middle of a tour group, and Weather from H!!!!! The WIND..... Dear Heavens was sooo bad, and one person from the tour tried to use his umbrella. His friend said What are you doing? As soon as he mentioned it, the umbrella turned inside out, and the wind carried it into the water. We all laughed. Belem Tower is a MUST SEE!!!! LOVE PORTUGAL!

This is pretty much worth it, but its about 15 min away s do your research on how to get there. Our tram let us off too soon so walked about a mile...Do other things while out there. The Monastery or the art museum (i did the art museum...it was good). Then i took a taxi back.

The tower is a truly fascinating architectural sight.

The tower is a truly fascinating architectural sight. Situated on the water it invokes a deep sense of romanticism with its fairytale remembrance. Be sure to get there early enough to take a tour and enjoy the small beach while you wait.
