    Burmester was great, we didnt do tour just sat and did wine...

    Burmester was great, we didnt do tour just sat and did wine tasting with tapas, host very nice, very relaxing in cellar. Next one was Calem, we got there too late for cellar tour but host told us go next door to outside patio and we tasted wines sitting outside overlooking the beautiful river!

    Plenty of old brand names here.

    Plenty of old brand names here. Be sure to do a quick guided tour and wait to buy after you sample free. Best prices are at the source winery like the huge ones here in Vila Nova de Gaia. Most are all next to one another lining the pier walk. Cafes are here too. Walk up the old back streets and find small enotecas and family cafes.

    We stayed in the top apparent which has stunning views from the balcony! Truly we had friends staying at fancy hotels that didn’t have as good a view as us. We spent most evenings watching the sun set over Porto from there. It is located perfectly for Gaia and accessing all the port wine cellars and tourist locations on that side of the river (cable car etc.). It is also located in a quiet square with a beautiful church right nearby. The apartment is well appointed with everything you need and the host was really great with communication

    The location was perfect, in the heart of Gaia, with everything in walking distance. Just a few minutes by foot you can view beautiful sunsets from Gaia, as well as cross over the Luis bridge and explore Porto by foot or by bus. A lot of restaurants and port wine cellars at the doorstep enhanced our experience in Portugal

    The stay was super nice and quiet, and the room/private bathroom cleaned every day. Both very modern, good shower. Comfy big bed and lots of storage space in inbuilt wardrobe. Air conditioning. Nice traditional Portuguese breakfast. Family run, very lovely and attentive local hosts, good recommendations for port wine cellars.

    The host, Octavio, is very friendly and met us upon arrival. There is a private garage so no need to spend time looking for parking in the street. The apartment is clean, well equipped kitchen and toilet (plenty of towels, etc.). The location is great - local, however only five minutes walk away from the Gaia side of the city centre/bridge/Telegrafica cable car/port wine cellars. There are small local coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, butcher, etc. right around the corner. Nothing fancy, but local and friend!

    Brilliant location next to the Luis II bridge with perfect views of the river. The room is also very close to the port wine cellars. The apartment was also lovely and clean and very spacious.
