Very touristy. Lots of places to rent clothes and get a photographer and take some beautiful photos. Most people dress up and have their photos taken so lots of photographers and people having their photos taken. The monument it's self is beautiful and I would have loved to stay and see/explore more but it is crawling with tourists. To the point that you can't really walk around it or get a nice picture as there are so many photo shoots being had on the steps on the walkway around it and on the grounds. When we asked to be moved to a lower floor because of my senior mother, they did so quickly and even provided extra mattress. The room is also very clean. When we told them that we would go to Ayutthaya, she offered a great deal with a great friendly driver who also doubled as our tour guide.
