The hotel also has a restaurant bar facing the peaceful Mahurangi river. There's a supermarket Woolworths nearby if one needs to buy supplies. The room is spotless, the bed is comfy, there's fridge and kettle for tea - perfect after a long day driving end exploring nearby areas. And finally the staffs are warm and friendly with swift check-in/check-out process.

OMG. Where do I start. The hosts simply could not do enough for you. Absolutely lovely people. Can’t wait to go back and catch up with our new friends.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Riverside Matakana. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets on a comfy bed. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointing thing was that the pillows were very thick and firm. I would have liked softer ones. Other than that, I can’t fault the place and will definitely go back. And stay longer.
