The lodge recently changed owners, but has kept on much of the staff and is very recognizable to anyone having stayed there before. The location is extremely peaceful and serene, yet just a few minutes drive from the excellent Casterbridge lifestyle center, with all its charming shops and eateries. The staff is lovely and made us feel right at home. There is no playground, but the lush grounds offer plenty of space for kids to run around and explore. Our kids really loved sleeping in a bunk bed in a family room as well. We did not have dinner on-site, but we very much enjoyed the yummy hot breakfast options. We will definitely be coming back.

The management is fantastic, beautiful property, HUGE rooms with huge bathroom and a kitchenette / fridge etc. BEAUTIFUL food, amazing clean pool. spotlessly clean. gorgeous garden for the kids to roam. We stumbled on this place for the night and I am so glad we did. Quite and welcoming really really impressed!!! Thanks team we will be back xx

Very helpful and friendly staff. Helped us when our car broke down. Very well kept and neat premises and gardens. Nice porch for cocktails and bird watching. Back-up generator. Good restaurant.

Staff were all very friendly and easy to talk to, and everyone seemed happy to be there. Breakfast on-the-house is delicious, whether on a la carte days or buffet days. The tent has a cool relaxing vibe and both an in-door or outdoor (walled) shower for those feeling frisky. Common areas and pool have a great view into the bushes with a water hole and for sunset. The whole experience was awesome, and you feel like you're somewhere special for sure, away from everything else in the world. The price is well worth it if you can afford; I highly recommend!

Sabores Lodge was designed with the guest in mind. The location of the lodge was perfectly central. Everything you would expect from a hotel, at half the price. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the owner was very welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful and truly a treat. The chef personally opened the kitchen to cater for us on a public holiday. The room was cozy, had an air conditioner, a fridge, tea making facilities, a high quality bed and linen, and even a safe. Parking was secure and marked per unit, individual remotes are provided to come and go as you please. Overall it suited every requirement my wife and I had, while being clean and well maintained.
