A terrace can be found at the lodge, along with a shared lounge. We had a great stay. Ananda is right at the beach, in the middle of all the 'action', but still very relaxed and quiet at night. The staff is superfriendly and they've done everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had a little issue during our stay, which was solved in the best way by the management team. Besides the staff, the property itself and hotel are very well maintained and clean. We'd definitely come back!

Overall, it’s a peaceful and comfortable place to relax and enjoy Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

The building is a wonder and itself worth the visit. Joyce and her team were so attentive, personable, and helpful and family-style meals were excellent. Utupoa sits directly on the beach and easily reachable by foot from the village of Matemwe. What a wonderful way for our family to get to know a corner of Zanzibar and to unwind from our adventures. Some rooms have a private swimming pool. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the service exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend ordering a cocktail from the bartender – he is very professional, and the drinks were excellent. We requested a late check-out, and the staff kindly accommodated us without any additional charge. The spa therapist was outstanding – I booked treatments with her twice, and she truly has golden hands.

Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. Evergreen Bungalows is a magical paradise with love for the detail. The location and property is truly magnificent and exactly what you want if you’re looking to escape the busy crowds of stone town or nungwi. The staff is wonderful and kind, the restaurant great, and the pole pole island vibe lived to perfection. I would always come back!

I have been to many accommodations in Zanzibar, but this one was truly the most special experience for me. The peace and positive vibes I experienced there brought back 5 years of my life. The house is in a wonderful location, surrounded by dense vegetation, so you will feel a healing peace there during your entire stay. The bungalows are spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are large and comfortable, the view is stunning. The food deserves a Michelin star, the offer is varied, the ingredients are fresh every day, the portions are very generous, certainly above the price. The owner and all the staff are very accommodating, kind and ready to dedicate themselves to each guest to make them feel at home. My special thanks go to the hostess Suzy , whose helpfulness and kindness go beyond the limit and who made our stay even more beautiful. If you are planning to visit Zanzibar, do not make the mistake of not visiting this special piece of paradise. Thank you all, even though we left, a piece of my heart remained there 💓
