Where do I even start, everything about the Grand Hotel Belvedere was perfection!! From the minute we arrived, we felt instantly welcome. We were greeted by very friendly staff and treated to a delicious welcome drink in the lounge. We then realised my husband had left his backpack on the train which had lots of valuables in it. The staff immediately contacted the train station and located the backpack and arranged for a staff member to collect it for us (thank goodness for the honest Swiss person who handed it in). With the crisis averted we settled into our beautiful hotel room and headed out to explore Wengen, but not before taking a moment to enjoy the breathtaking view from our balcony! We have travelled a lot and I don’t think I have ever experienced a hotel with staff like this. They made us feel like they were genuinely excited for us to be there and every encounter with every single staff member was a delight. They were helpful, happy, enthusiastic and so friendly. They also made our children feel very welcome and made an effort to engage with them. The rooms and bathrooms are absolutely divine. As an interior designer myself I was in awe of the design of the rooms and common spaces, the bar, restaurant and lounge were as beautiful as the rooms. The buffet breakfast was delicious and our dinner in the restaurant was also incredible. We absolutely loved Wengen and our experience at the Belvedere made our stay all the more enjoyable. This hotel and the staff are very special, thank you for going out of your way to make our stay so memorable, we will be back for sure.

AMAZING. Clean, spacious, with everything you need. Lots of trails around. Grocery store 5 minutes away (by car). A garage and a laundry room in the building. Plus lots of toys and books for kiddos.

Even beyond the friendly and helpful interactions we had with him, we really appreciated all of the details and efforts you could tell were made to make sure it was a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apartment Lauberhorn. The unit was easy to find, and the check-in process was very smooth. The views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley were just amazing and you would be hard pressed to find better accommodations with the views we had from this unit. This unit had its own covered carport space so we never had to find or pay for a place to park. We had a car but if you are not driving, there is a very convenient bus stop in front of the complex. The bathroom was very clean. The shower was huge and worked well. Every appliance in this unit worked well. We were pleased that it was easy to operate the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer in the unit without needing an instruction manual. Most clothes washers and dryers in Europe work very poorly. This is the first place in many places we stayed where the clothes washer and dryer were fantastic! It took very little effort to wash and dry all our clothes. This is a beautiful place and the host was great and responsive! We would definitely look to stay here again if we return to this area again someday!
