Beautiful traditional style tatami suite with a king size bed. Glorious garden view and private onsen. Staff were amazing. There was a mix up with dinner but they apologised profoundly and refunded us a substantial amount for the dinner. The traditional Japanese breakfast more than made up for it.

From getting picked up at Shuzenji station until the ride back, everything was taken care of for us, and we felt like we were pampered throughout the stay. We had an early dinner, choosing the 5:30 service, which meant we could later enjoy the private onsen by moonlight. The other onsen baths are worth a visit, the cave bath was especially beautiful in the morning, with the sun rays piercing through the steam. Wearing the yukata felt really nice, and the sleeve pockets are so practical! Dinner and breakfast were delicious, especially the choice of sake and the rice dishes. We were very pleased by the choice of complimentary treats and drinks in the lounge, and also in the room fridge — soft drinks and mineral water only, but all very nice after a warm onsen bath!

Excellent staff service from the moment of arriving, as they helped us with the luggage, to the dining experience. Great food breakfast and dinner half board, sumptuous meal, super full after it, and very cheerful staff. Rooms felt bespoke and beautiful appointments throughout. Highly recommended.

It was one of the best hotel experiences that I have ever had! [hospitality and service] From the moment we parked into hotel, we have been warmly greeted and welcomed. It was smooth from the beginning, check in, welcome drink and orientation. Everything is well organized and considerate. It was really lovely that hotel staff even prepared menu in Chinese for dinner! Kudos to authentic Japanese omotenashi! [facility and room] Our room or villa was renovated from a hundred year old traditional Japanese Kura, where you got to experience the traditional Japanese culture and also enjoy the modern and luxury side as a high end hotel! We had a very secluded hot spring in our backyard, which definitely was the highlight of our stay! Champaign and hot springs!! [food] I know many of the tourists are expecting traditional Japanese cuisine but our Italian fusion dining experience was just superb! It was a high end Italian full course but with Japanese fusion, such as the concept of “Shun” which means to use most seasonal ingredients and all of the vege and meat were harvested locally in nearby area. Hats off to the chef!! I would definitely come back for the food!!

Beautiful surroundings, great location with a view on Mount Fuji. Members of staff are friendly. I would stay there any time when on Izu peninsula. Our private onsen (in the room) was great!

Really nice hotel, having an open onsen was great! Room is comfortable and the free drive back to the station to avoid the climb with the suitcases was very helpful. Will be looking to come again.

The hotel was very impressive from the first walk in and the amazing views over the sea. Room incredible very spacious our own outdoor bath. Large bathroom. Onset was also very good especially the the outdoor area. Dinner was delicious, multi course meal included in the price.

Bousui - really magnificent ryokan hotel which takes special place in my wife’s and mine hearts😄! Room was very big, all over traditionally designed, very atmospheric and comfortable! Hot spring baths were amazing too: luxurious, very comfortable and with beautiful sea views! Premium gazebo was especially great! Really worth it! Employee, who helped us in room was very attentive, helpful and made all we could need to take all the best from our staying! Special thanks for pleasant conversations and tons of very interesting information! You made our staying unforgettable! Additionally to traditional breakfast, we asked for Kaiseki dinner - it was third Kaiseki we got, and truly, the most delicious and impressive! Fish was as fresh as it is possible, serving was full of beautiful and very interesting details! Last, but not least part of our rest was massage in award winning GECCA SPA: to be honest, Suzune gave me greatest massage I ever got! She was so attentive and diligent, made message with so masterpiece, that I’ve got extreme pleasure and relief! More over, it was first time when I feel, that therapist don’t just do it work, but really cares of me!🙏🏻 Btw, my wife never liked massages, but even she was really impressed by Suzune’s work!
