A jewel of a hotel. A magnificent waluwaa which has been lovingly restored and decorated. The art collection is mesmerising especially for anyone with an interest in Sri Lankan art and history. David has done a superb job and we only wished we had stayed longer. The meals on the vernada were superb quality and portion sizes were just right. We enjoyed a walk around the estate grounds. Highly recommended and would lend itself to a longer stay as a well located base and so much nicer than being in Kandy or a large impersonal hotel.

What a magical place. The best hotel we stayed in Sri Lanka so far. The views and the infinity pool are on point. We absolutely loved our stay here! Definitely recommend to others. We stayed for 2 nights, wish we had more time to stay here. Our room was fantastic! Really spacious and a lovely big bed. We also had a prived terrace, and the accommodation have pleanty of terraces with lovely views (good for sunrice & sunset when its not so cloudy). The restaurant is nice aswell, they make good local food but also pretty good western food! The prices are reasonable (good enough for us to stay here). Book a massage, that 1 hour relaxation is so nice. We liked that it is not a very big hotel, so its not crowded at all. Enough room at the pool to relaxt. The staff is super friendly, are willing to help you with anything. No request is to much. In less words: its worth to stay here :-) thank you for everything!
