I loved this place. Stylish, Japanese feel to the room meshed with clean-lined modernism. The spa was very enjoyable and the water makes you feel amazing. This is very much a couple’s place though, as the room has zero privacy of any kind- glass walls to the private spa and bathing area. So if you’re traveling with someone, make sure you’re “friendly.” I enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Everything was amazing. We had a group of 10 staying in 5 rooms. The staff was extremely hospitable and helpful at every opportunity. Darren was especially kind and helpful. There is a lot of attention to detail and the facilities both in the rooms and in the public areas was incredible. The hot springs tub in every room is a huge highlight. The breakfast is fantastic, they change it every day! Truly 5-Star. We will definitely be coming back!

Our 5-day stay at The Gaia Hotel Taipei was amazing! The hotel itself was lovely, with decorative touches that were aesthetically pleasing. The rooms were also clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the facilities tremendously - spa, gym, hot springs, sauna and steam room! And the restaurants served really delicious cuisine. But what was most memorable was the exceptional service we received. The staff was unfailingly warm and caring, and took the effort to learn about my family and our preferences. They made us feel so welcomed and at home! In particular, they took great care of our wheelchair-bound mother and made every effort to ensure that she enjoyed her stay. Worthy of mention are Candy, Tracy, Tina Zheng, Shi Hwan Hong, and Julian at the restaurant who were attentive, friendly and super helpful; Winifred, Sean, Charles Liu, Darren Liu and Evan Lin at the front desk who were always prompt in responding to our requests and remarkably astute in anticipating our needs and ensuring that we had a wonderful time; and Rain Chen who cheerfully helped our mother into our car each morning and spoke to her with such care and kindness. These staff members are a huge credit to the hospitality industry! We highly recommend The Gaia Taipei if you are looking for a really special time in Taipei!
