Lounge area was beautifully planned with a great view and places to hang out with new friends. The Onsen bath was clean and beautiful too. Had it for myself in the morning. The dorm bed was super big and felt private.

All staff members were very kind and we felt like at home.

The lake view was breathtaking and the private Onsen was incredibly relaxing and serene. The included breakfast and dinner were a nice touch.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. The futons were comfortable - unlike many accommodations. The villa was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the onsen.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The property boasts views of Tonomine, Myojogatake and Mount Asama. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. This has to be one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in a resort or hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are super spacious and clean. The tubs on the balcony are lovely, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and super impressive, catering to both Japanese and Western cuisine with the most incredible wide selection I've seen. Dinner was absolutely fantastic, with both the courses and the seafood buffet being exceptional. Among all the hotels I've stayed at, this place has the friendliest staff, catering to your every need. They offer a free shuttle bus to Gora Station as well as free ice cream from the vending machines. They have two onsen: one with an infinity pool and a fantastic view, and a garden one with a beautiful waterfall. I cannot recommend this place enough; we had the most fantastic stay ever.

Guests at Hakone Mount View can enjoy rare volcanic hot spring water called nigori-yu, either in a shared open-air bath or at a surcharge in a private one. The hotel offers a shop with local products, Japanese-style confectionery shop. I loved the ability to book a private onsen where the backdrop is the outdoor forest of bamboo and local trees. The kaiseki was absolutely delicious and one of the best highlights of our entire trip
