We loved our stay! The house is spotless—brand new and beautifully equipped with everything a family could possibly need, turning it into a true home away from home. Although we ran into some issues with the reservation and the ferries, the hostess was incredibly attentive and helped us tremendously, which we deeply appreciate since we were traveling with children. Thanks to her support, we were able to sort everything out and fully enjoy our time on the island. Highly recommended!

The location was magnificent. John and Jacky were best of hosts. Kind hardworking scottish farmers. Jacky an amazing cottage weaver.The bothy was A great place to get away from worldly materialism... they supplied all basics of camp stove cooking . Composting toilet and a lovely pete fire. Very cosy with a nice comfortble bed. I felt warm and safe and remote. Away from mainstream society. Very nice and spacious room. Very clean and also close to the town centre. Extraordinary breakfast prepared by Olive, the lovely host. Too bad we only could stay for one night.

Everything about the place was amazing, the unique setting of the castle, the attention to detail was incredible and management were so responsive and welcoming. A fantastic location for exploring not only Stornoway but Lewis and Harris. The small fridge in the room was so handy for keeping snacks for day trips. The best nights sleep in the comfiest bed.

Marina was an excellent host. She was warm and kind, and a great cook. The breakfast she served was restaurant quality! The room was so well furnished and elegant, and the whole house had a lovely smell of candles. The breakfast room was also very refined. It was just such a nice stay. Thanks Marina!

This was a lovely clean and convenient place to stay. It is right on the sea front a couple of hundred meters from the ferry to Ullapool. If you arrive in to Stornaway late of have an early ferry to Ullapool then this place is really convenient. The owner was lovely to talk to and a very helpful person. It was good value for money and I would stay again
