- Hotel owner really helped us out prior to travelling to Flores and arranged for overland transfers from Labuan Bajo to Ruteng and then from Ruteng to Bajawa. Both drivers had good English and were reasonably priced. Thank you very much to Dolvi (staff at Ara) for driving us and being so patient with the construction on the way and driving us to dinner that evening. - Large, spacious and clean room. - Beautiful surrounding gardens. The properties back on to a bamboo forest and river. - Simple and nice breakfast. We were served fresh avocado which came from the tree on-site. - Recommend to visit the spider web rice fields which are close by.

One of our most pleasant stays in Flores. Everyone from the family is very warm and welcoming. It is a humble house and a very loved one. What made the stay stand out was given the shared nature of the space, small spontaneous interactions would always be occurring. This could lead to interesting and fun conversations or even trying some local Indonesian snacks. Tea, coffee and drinking water freely available. Their kitchen is also your kitchen along with letting us use their fridge too. Scooter rental is available at a good price. The scooter and helmets are well maintained. They can also help you book transport to your next destination as they helped us book the 7am bus to Bajawa. On top of that, they even woke up extra early to prepare us breakfast which was totally unexpected. The mum even noticed our empty food container so she decided to cook us some delicious nasi goreng for the bus ride. It’s a small thing, but made a world of difference for the long journey. Would highly recommend staying here, even if you’re just passing through! You won’t regret it.

Amazing hosts and perfect experience! Hosts are extraordinary nice and friendly! They helped us a lot with laundry, dinners and recommendations what to visit in the area. They also speak english very well. The place is completly new, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very delicious. In the walking distance there is a traditional rice field and village. Overall great price for value!

The hosts, Peronela and her family, are very friendly and hospitable. Everything was prepared just before your arrival. Hot water for your drinks etc. They ensure that all your needs are met. Good value considering the amount they charge for our stay. Would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Ruteng.

We had by far the best homestay experience ever! Fluffy, Theresia and Andrea were incredible hosts - it felt that we were treated as family more than guests. We shared great conversations and a very nice dinner with the family, and Fluffy was so kind to give up his time to show us around in Ruteng Pu’u. Peter and Carolina are very hospitable hosts. They made me feel welcome the moment I checked in to their property. Peter showed me around, brought me to local restaurant to try their local cuisine and also brought me to his relatives house where I got to experience their local culture and delicious food. The property itself is very clean, cozy and quiet at night which enabled me to have a good night sleep after a long day of travelling. They made me feel apart of their family and I got to interact with their adorable son. I highly recommend their property to any one who is visiting Ruteng. Thank you Peter and family!
