The hosts were amazing. This was my first guesthouse experience and it exceeded my expectations. We got there and it was already dark. We noticed that the northern lights could be out and the hosts did whatever they could to help us see them. It was great! We were the only 2 people booked for the night but when we woke up there was this massive and delicious breakfast. I was astounded by all the different kinds of food they offered. I would stay here all nights if we weren’t going to drive around Iceland.

An incredibly charming house and idyllic nature around with beautiful views. The hot tub was the absolute highlight. Unfortunately, the view when you sit in it is blocked by the wooden panels and the small windows in it are much too high, so you have no view from inside the jacuzzi; was definitely the only drawback. It is very quiet and there are no immediate neighbors. In summer you can enjoy the midnight sun and dine outside on the terrace in good weather conditions. Be sure to use the barbecue. We can hardly wait to come back. Thank you 💛

The home and the location was wonderfull. Our 3 year old son is normally scared of dogs but he loved Mowi and Katla. He played every day with them. The dogs are so friendly to childeren and we enjoyed their company so much. Thank you Heima Holiday Homes for a great stay! I would recomment this place to everyone.

Whatever I say will not do this place justice. we had the best New Year ever! That was due to where we stayed and our wonderful host. Who is the kindest, nicest lady we could wish to meet.     I was a bit sceptical when I found quite a few critical reviews. In the end, I booked a bed in the biggest dorm with 8 beds, of which only 2 were used that night. + The location is pretty good. + The bed was decent. It was not a very comfortable one but it was okay for the night + Bathrooms were clean + Kitchen was clean + Place was very quiet + Shades in bedroom worked well with the sun always being up in August + Free parking in front of the house + Price (40€ for one night) was okay for Iceland

    Friendly staff, pretty cool location on the river, and were helpful with everything we needed with our baby. Also, there's a place selling fried hot dogs out in the parking lot which was rad.

    The location is a horse farm, 6km from Selfoss town. Easy to find. The collection of buildings and rooms is neat and smart. My single room was small but quite suitable. There was a small refrigerator in it.The bathroom immediately next door had a heated towel rail so rinsed clothes dried quickly. The common kitchen area was pleasant and well equipped, although some pots/pans didn't suit the induction cooking top. Lots of car parking.

    A pleasant hotel in a good location to stay for a night during our touring trip. Modern, clean and comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff and a decent selection of food for breakfast. We enjoyed it. Free parking in the car park(which was full when we arrived), and on the road at the front. An easy walk to see the river and the interestingly renovated town centre. We ate at nearby Tryggvaskali Restaurant on the evening. It was superb!
