Super cute! All the shared areas were welcoming and our individual room was very nice, they even have a towel warmer in the bathroom. The location is perfect and the town is so quaint. We found out that we needed to make a reservation for dinner because there are only 3 restaurants we were told. We thought because the busiest season was over that we would be ok, but I guess not when the options are limited. Which makes sense. You check in for this stay is at red barn looking building across the street. When you check in she can make you a dinner reservation if you didn’t do so ahead of time. We ate at Narfeyrarstofa just 2 doors down. It was so cozy and the food and atmosphere were outstanding! We also paid extra to have them make us breakfast in the morning. It was well worth it! It was delicious and the presentation was picture perfect ! We had a great night in this picture perfect little town and it was a great place to stay before we headed to the westjfords. You can also take the ferry from here to the westjfords if you’d like.

One of those places you walk into and instantly feel at home, knowing you made the right choice. The guesthouse is full of character and thoughtfulness. Monica, the wonderful host, has truly thought of everything. Her experience in hospitality really shines through- from the spotless cleanliness and order to the little notes and labels that make everything feel easy and welcoming. The check-in was clear, simple, and completely stress-free, which set the tone for a relaxing stay. There’s a warm, authentic atmosphere here, yet it’s kept at the standard of a hotel. On top of that, the location is perfect. Stykkishólmur is such a beautiful little town, with colorful houses, a charming harbor, and a small hilltop offering a lovely viewpoint over the town. Saying “highly recommended” honestly feels like an understatement. Thank you, Monica 🌻

The location, the welcome and the design/feeling at the Hotel was exemplary. Very friendly staff greeting us and a warm, comfortable vibe in the lobby area made us feel at home quickly. We had a nice room on the 1st floor that was super cozy and nicely decorated - bed was very nice to sleep on :) Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious.

Absolutely perfect — 10/10! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, the shower was excellent, the bed super comfortable, and the view from the apartment was stunning. Parking was available right at the apartment, which was very convenient. Out of all the places we stayed during our 10-day trip in Iceland, this was by far the best. A must-pick — highly recommended!

Fantastic stay, we recommend this quaint cabin for anyone staying in the peninsula. It was cozy, clean, and the views were spectacular. This place was cozy but simply perfect for 4 large adults.

Property was on the way to Snaefellsjokull National Park fairly well situated for a first night stop after morning arrival in Reykjavik. No restaurants in immediate area, so either dine as you drive through Borgarnes or some place closer to the park. Beautiful views.

Welcoming guesthouse, modern, unique with its lovely yellow paint in the middle of the village. Good breakfast options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a nice cot for our little one. The shower was nice, the room is clean and well serviced every day (something increasingly rare). Free parking just next to the entrance. Nice outdoor space to enjoy the midnight sun.

Excellent location - close to everything - newly decorated room - friendly service - free parking - wonderful view from the hall on first floor - even a bar open on evenings. For dinner I recommend booking ahead a table at the Sjavarpakkhusid restaurant - just a 2 minutes walk - maybe the best seafood Iǘe ever had! Leaving town - don´t forget your three wishes at Helgafell (Holy Mountain)!

The owner is very friendly and helpful. Clean room and amenities. Snacks, coffee, tea, milk etc... are free.. wonderful. Also the location is nearby to mini market, fuel pumps, electric csr charger and main road. Got 3 free parking lot inside the premises . Highly recommended to stay
