The breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of variety—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. It was the kind of meal you look forward to every morning. Everything we needed was included, and the staff made the whole experience feel effortless. The location was also spot-on—central, convenient, and surrounded by the character and charm of Edinburgh. This wasn’t just a place to stay—it was an experience we’ll remember. I’d go back in a second.

Situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre, Malt House Apartments are only 2 minutes’ walk to the west end of Princes Street. The modern apartments have been converted from a whisky-bond building and come fully equipped with a kitchen, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Very easy to find and a very convenient location. Luggage storage was perfect, as we got there a bit early. The apartment was well-apportioned and had everything we needed. The only thing missing, but certainly not a deal breaker, was a hair dryer.

The staff were excellent, the room cosy with a small sofa and armchair and a very comfortable bed. Good quality towels and a delicious breakfast.

Each spacious suite has a large bathroom and in-room dining facilities including a microwave, a small fridge, crockery, and cutlery. Everything was lovely! the staff were great and super helpful! the room was clean and nicer than i expected from their images! i had great time staying there!

Shops and restaurants on Princess Street, Calton Hill, Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile and EICC are all within walking distance. Best breakfast. Staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Emily, who made us look forward to every breakfast. They provided daily cleaning. Sparkling clean areas and sit out rooms, bar. We had really good feelings here, and the location was approximate to every key place. The room was equipped with every amenities you can think of, including the very basic ones. We are definitely coming back soon.
