Situated in El Remate, 34 km from Tikal National Park, Sun Breeze Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. Owner was exceptionally helpful. We didn’t have internet, stuck on a bus for 12hrs, arrived much later than we’re told. The town shuts down at 9pm, which we were not advised of previously. The owner was so helpful and understanding of us arriving late. He helped us organise a bus to visit Tikal for the next day. Our room was an excellent location and beautiful views. The room was very clean. Owner speaks very good English and is happily to help sort out any activities or provide advice on where to eat in the area.

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the island and the lake. Amazing place. Don’t be put off by the location - it’s super easy to take a boat to and from Flores Island, the boat costs just Q10 per person (US$1.50), there are loads of them, and they run all day until around 10pm at night. Zapote Inn itself is really lovely - lots of places to chill, they sell cold beer on the property for Q15, and offer great food at reasonable prices (we particularly enjoyed the typico breakfasts and the steamed fish dinner). The room was nicer than it looks in the photos, with the best beds we’ve had anywhere in Guatemala. The room had great aircon and was quiet at night. Another great part about this place is that it backs onto the rainforest. A short walk from the accom we saw howler monkeys climbing through the trees - an amazing sight! Not to mention the toucans and hummingbirds hanging about the property. The Tikal tour that Peter organised was great and good value. Peter was also able to organise a shuttle direct to Caye Caulker at a slightly cheaper price than is advertised online. We have already recommended this place to a few of our friends travelling in Guatemala and will continue to do so.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This place is so beautiful and relaxing that it's hard to even put the experience into words. The attention to detail is truly remarkable. Inside the room, you'll find everything you need and even more. A funicular takes you down to the private marina, where you can enjoy paddle boarding or simply jump into the lake for a refreshing swim. The temazcal sauna was an unforgettable experience; deeply relaxing and unique. I’d especially like to thank the staff for making my birthday so special with thoughtful room decorations and a surprise cake. Every moment here was filled with care and magic.

This modern hotel is situated right on Peten Itza Lake and offers free Wi-Fi and breakfast. This hotel is a real gem. Located on the shore of Lake Petén, with its bungalows hidden in the surrounding forest, it could not be more beautiful, relaxed and quiet. Add to that a really good restaurant with exceptional breakfast (everything is made to order, no buffet), and the most helpful and friendly staff you can imagine. The bed was super comfortable, which is really important to me.

The location, the jacuzzi in the room, the view, the stuff. It was paradise.

Peaceful and secluded, it feels like a luxury resort but at a very reasonable price.They have trails in the forest and we saw monkeys, a crocodile and numerous birds. Very good value for money, very comfortable rooms, good staff and a great experience.
