The owners and staff are very friendly and the room was very nice and cozy. The breakfast was very nice. You have some different options to chose from the day before and then they make it fresh for you in the morning when you come down to the breakfast room. The location is also great. Its about a 12 min walk to the city center and 10 min maximum to the University. There's also a small supermarket and pharmacy close by. I visited in December 2024 and the Christmas spirit in Galway is amazing.

The Helm Apartments B&B can help organise golf or adventure-based activities. On-street parking is available on-street for a small daily surcharge. An excellent apartment in a fantastic location. The Helm pub and restaurant (located below the apartments) is an amazing place, the team, food (excellent!) and atmosphere has real charm. We enjoyed this each morning for breakfast and for dinner and drinks most evenings. The location at The Quay is great for Westport House, the working harbour and a close Westport town. Very relaxing and charming, but close enough to the action.
