A special thanks went to the host who came to alert us of an approaching hurricane that basically closed most of the roads in northern and eastern Iceland for days. She managed to give us the heads up and advise us to closely monitor the weather forecast and road conditions before we checked out. Her advice was essential for keeping us safe as we then extended our stay at the next stop to take shelter from the strong wind and sleet.

The rooms were really nice and clean. There was a common area with a kitchenette and some sofas where we ended up spending our evening. There is also a restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast. The food was great. Overall, it was an amazing stay with great views.

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. A super modern place, furbished with superb quality and style. The room is beautiful, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There are three bathrooms, one of which is HUGE. The owner is really attentive, hard-working and ready to help you with anything you may need. It's the only apartment we stayed in during our trip around Iceland in which we could use a washing machine and a dryer. The fact that you share bathroom and kitchen with other guests might be a nuisance if you're on a tight schedule and these are occupied by other guests. However, this rarely happened, and with three bathrooms for 5 rooms, we only had to wait a bit to use the spacious kitchen a couple of times in 3 days because we were really unlucky and everyone wanted to cook at the same time. :-)
