Excellent hotel with great location. It is very clean and comfortable. I like the traditional decorative details and the wood work. It offers a true immersive experience into the Albanian culture. The staff is very welcoming and ready to answer any questions you have.

This villa is amazing! It’s next door to a few historic houses that have turned into musea. Actually this villa used to be a museum too but the owners decided to turn it into a place where you don’t only visit a historic house but you also get a chance to truly experience it! The rooms are big, bright and clean. Some of the furniture are from the 1800’s , it was very special to see it. There are old family photos on the wall too so the whole building has a rich history! It is also said that the prince of the Albanian kingdom in the 1800’s used to stay here. The location is perfect, it’s a 3 minute walk to the bazar in the old center and the villa is located on the middle of the hill. So not uphill or downhill but right in the middle! There is a garden full of turtles next door and the owner made amazing breakfast for us with products from her own organic garden. It was a truly special experience.

I loved that the hosts were so attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Although we could not speak a common language, we used Google translate to communicate and have long conversations. The breakfast (paid extra) was a huge spread and generously put together . The host constantly checked in with us to see if we needed anything. It felt more like home than a guest house. I will be recommending Isaraj Guest House to my friends and other fellow travellers.

The location of the place was fantastic with only a short if not hilly walk to the tourist area. The room was beautiful and breakfast was great with so much amazing food and coffee. The hosts were so lovely and so helpful with everything including a WhatsApp on arrival to tell us the best restaurants and things to see in the area.

The family running the guesthouse is sooooo friendly. They helps us parking the car in the narrow and steep streets. We could also use the washing machine. The terrace is overlooking the old town and the the entire valley. The homemade food was delicious. We even got a good bye present, homemade jam. We can absolutely recommend the place.

    We booked it because it was among the few pet friendly options in Gjirokaster (even though at the end we didn’t bring the dog), it was the best choice we could have made. A spacious villa with a yard entirely for us with free parking. The center is not even 5 mins walk away. We were very happy with the service and communication with our host. Whenever we go back to Gjirokaster, we know where to go 😊
