It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

He organized wonderful tours (safari, temples, dance show), and her wife prepared amazing breakfast and dinner! Everyday we had a different menu, always good and with Sri Lankan delicacies. The room was huge, spotless clean, with a very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful, with palm trees and flowers, with a nice patio where we relaxed before dinner.. We had also a very nice walk close to the lake and ricefields, from the road in front of the hotel. We strongly recommend Swan lake to everyone wants to enjoy Habarana area

The owner is very nice and gave me a lot of support in planning the journey to and from the hotel. He also planned the safari for me. This was a great experience as the guide had a lot of knowledge. Another highlight was the dinner. The room was perfectly fine for the two nights. The room was very clean. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

We would return any time.

The host, Kapila, is a former tour guide with expert knowledge of the area and its history; he and his family will welcome you with big smiles, fun conversation, tips on navigating Mihintale and Anuradhapura, and delicious meals. I highly recommend using the villa as your base for exploring Mihintale’s many sites (walkable from the villa) and for taking a 30-minute bus or tuk tuk to Anuradhapura. Pro tip: do NOT miss sunrise at Mihintale Rock/Temple Complex, sunset at Rajagiri Caves, a meditative walk through Kaludiya Pokuna, and a nighttime bike ride to the many holy sites of Anuradhapura.

We upgraded to the A-frame tree house with a private pool a few days before arrival, and it was the best decision. The pool was the perfect size to cool off for our family of five. We loved our stay here. While this hotel might be a bit further from Sigiriya, they organised a driver in a safari jeep to take us where we needed to go. We also went on a game drive to a nearby national park, which was amazing; we saw so many elephants. You can walk into some local shops as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both were really good—best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka.
