It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

We saw three leopards and could follow them for quite some time. We also saw many other animals. The food was also very good.

And then enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal. Free Wifi was included. The bed was so comfy and equipped with a mosquito net, an ac and a fan. We could’ve stayed longer but had to move on.

I can't say enough about the kindness of Upali and his family during our 4 night stay. Upali is always friendly, smiling and helpful. He picked us up in his tuk tuk at the train and his wife made us a delicious dinner as we arrived quite late. Upali will help you organize your stay and will provide you with transportation at reasonable prices. We visited Sigiriya and Dambulla one day and Anuradhapura the second day. I highly recommend both excursions. Our 3rd day we were rained out from a village visit but we enjoyed a down day and explored Habarana a bit. The rooms are a good size, a/c worked well and shower was hot. Breakfast was Sri Lankan and was huge and we could never finish it all. For the price you pay, the value was excellent. We were also able to use the kitchen fridge to store some food and beers. I highly recommend this homestay and hope you choose to stay at Dulwan Guest House. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

The owner was incredibly friendly, answered all my questions, and even offered me a welcome tea. The room and bike rental were very reasonably priced. My room was clean and comfortable, and I was even allowed to use the washing machine for free.
