The room was clean and comfortable with a small fridge. It’s about a 10min walk to the beach which is very popular with Sri Lankans on the weekends. Lots of small home restaurants to eat at and small shop over the road with a beautiful family running it.

The host Rangan was so lovely and went out of his way to make the guests experience the best it could be. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location super close to the beach, restaurants and bus stops. Rangan went out of his way to drop me into the neighbouring town of Trincomalee with no extra charge and when he heard that myself and another guest had not tried milk rice he cooked it for us for breakfast the following morning. Would definitely recommend and will return if I’m back in Sri Lanka.

Mandy was an amazing host who was always up for a chat & a laugh & was super helpful arranging tours or transport etc. We highly recommend!

The owner Prasanth is super friendly and takes such good care of all the stray cats and dogs in the area. He made it his life goal to take care for the animals nobody else is looking after, which makes him a true hero! At the place itself, there also are super cute dogs and cats that live there and it was a pleasure spending time with them. We hope to come back soon and would recommend everyone who comes to Trincomalee to spend your time here, you won't regret it! Ps: almost everything he earns he will use it to take stray animals to the vet, for food & medicine for the cats and dogs... So if you can, give him a nice tip so he can continue doing such beautiful work! ♥️

We had a great stay at tribal village! The room was very cute and the staff truly went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. Everything went very smoothly and you wouldn’t even know they had only recently opened. They organised a great snorkelling trip for us and had great knowledge of the area.

The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Brand new and clean room, nice staff, good breakfast, Really quiet . The staff is really helpful. Nothing to put your luggage on in the room but I’m sure the owner will provide for everything in the future , the guesthouse is brand new and had just opened around the 1st of August . It’s located 10 mn from the beach . There are several little restaurants in the area. “ Seafood restaurant “ at the end of the street is a good one . The beach is natural , no club, no loud music , it’s beautiful you can find some mat to relax at the little restaurant on the beach .

Fully equipped kitchen and a large refrigerator are major plus points, for a group of people. There are a few minor improvements that could attract the guests. Kind of nice to have things like, a small tables in rooms, furniture arrangement (in the rooms). Overall, it's 10/10. 😀

From local knowledge, traditional Sri Lankan meals, to taking us to local beaches, to see crocodiles and sunset on a beautiful lagoon. No tourists were around! We never would have gone to these local spots if it wasn’t for him! We will be back ❤️
