The people working there were super friendly and hospitable. It's in an excellent location in downtown Zacatecas, a 3 minute walk to the cathedral. Our room was large and comfortable, with a nice bed and new sheets and bedding. They provide drinking water, which is great - we don't want to fill the world with discarded plastic water bottles. They serve breakfast (which you pay for from a reasonably priced menu) and cafe de olla which is free. There's a rooftop terrace with a great view of the city, with cablecars to Cerro la Bufa going right over your head. It was great value, and as I've already mentioned, the staff are genuinely welcoming and helpful.

The accommodation features a concierge service, a tour desk and luggage storage for guests. Elevator made getting belongings to second floor easy. Good bed, clean room. I liked that the price for a pet was clearly stated in the Booking room choices -- too many hotels say Pet-Friendly and then you find it's 500 or 1,000 pesos extra when you arrive. Staff was friendly. Locked secure parking one block away required staff to accompany me to park and retrieve car, which was fine. Average Mexican breakfast -- choice of huevos al gusto or chiaiqulles, juice and coffee/tea.

This restored 16th-century building offers charming rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. It has history behind it. Architectural side of it just something I have always loved so this stay was perfect for me. No need for a car everything close and if needed a taxi or Uber will do without it even being a long drive. Highly recommend it if you like this type of architecture but if you prefer more of a modern look this is probably not for you.
