We have been to many places in the Caribbean, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places we have ever stayed. The beachfront accommodations are beautiful, up-to-date, with our rooms well-maintained by Ramona and her associates, and with additional special touches as expected at a luxury resort of this caliber. The beach itself is outstanding, with powdery white sand, sparkling clear water without seaweed or any trash, and with reserved loungers and umbrellas for guests so there is no rush to stake out a spot on the beach. The staff taking care of us on the beach were particularly friendly and fun, with cool drinks, sorbet, and cool towels routinely offered. Also noted and appreciated was the fact that the hotel does not allow visiting boats to anchor along the beach all along the shore by the accommodations, and enforces a strict policy that they cannot play music or make any loud noise when stopping in the harbor area, something that many resorts never consider or enforce. The restaurants are all top notch as well. Standouts for us were dinner at Cip’s with Raechel (?), and the multi room wide selection of fresh foods at the morning buffet. Never a bad meal all week with PImms, Uchu, and the Cap Shack all distinctly great, with relaxing ambiance and great service. The spa was also excellent. Treatments were exactly what we requested and provided by obviously professional well trained therapists. Facilities were beautiful and well maintained. We also used the fitness center which has up to date top of the line equipment well maintained. We also enjoyed having bikes available all around the property for everyone, making it fun and easy to get around. We would like to specifically mention our personal concierge Deandre. I like the area I was at. Very nice place, Friendly people, a lot of fun spots. What I don't like are the prices they show up on my research are not the prices I paid when I got there. Things are very expensive, foods are expensive. A three minutes taxi trip cost $25.00. Some of the taxi have no AC and their car are not clean and some of them just stopped at the gas station rolled down the windows, slammed the door and went to fuel their car without an excuse. It rained a lot and movement was curtailed. However, went on a few taxi rides to the city. Very busy and traffic is absolutely heavy. OMG restaurant was great where the food was reasonable. Time was short so I was unable to see as much. However, many huge buildings and development in Georgetown and elsewhere. Lots of progress since I left Guyana. Alot of adventures to participate in and otherwise very relaxing location. Loved the hotel. Room was a nice size and came with a kitchenette, beds comfy abd the shower was hot. Centrally located so you have access to everything you need, plenty of restaurants on and near the property. Pool and gym access. Scenic views of the bay. Do the city tour… so you can get a snapshot of the island… eat at the local eateries..,they’re the best. Revial has THE best breakfast, Buccaneers and Shoreline (hole in the wall but the most authentic food) the beaches are gorgeous enjoy as many as you can. The is local fish celebrations and market, dancing, with the locals on Friday and Saturdays..love local people and streets and many other hotels near by on route. Beautiful 💖 weather, the sea breeze was lovely 😍 The town is colourful including the transport buses 🚌 and taxis going into town or airport 🛫 Local area has natural local people sell their own produce, foods and market stall inside the Oistins Town area..there is supermarkets KFC, Chefette and petrol station, fish markets, lots of restaurants cooked food to buy..beautiful atmosphere and im definitely confirm my time was amazing. I am definitely coming back to Christchurch Barbados 🇧🇧 and I can't wait..oh yes the Miami Beach is amazing going to swim out in the sea..water level is chest high from a far distance from shore sandy area..lovely weather all day and night...lots of hotels nearby too. Caye Caulker is an amazing place to experience the 'Go Slow' way of life! We enjoyed 4 nights there with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teen boys), went spearfishing, swam with nurse sharks and sting rays, fed tarpon, waded with sting rays, hung out at The Split, and enjoyed amazing Belizean food all over the island.
