What an amazing hotel . You receive the warmest welcome on arrival and immediately feel at home in this hotel. Beautifully appointed in every way. There is a beautiful peaceful garden out the back and a wine cellar in the basement, all definitely worth a visit. The hotel is immaculately clean everywhere and is in a great location just off the Danube bike trail. It has a facility to store your bike and a room to dry clothes if needed. The breakfast was such a treat and beautifully presented with freshly made coffee. The hosts were very helpful and give us a wonderful recommendation for dinner as they don’t do evening meals. Where to start? Amazing location with beautiful views. We could just sit and enjoy the views. Tasty food, we had breakfasts and dinners and the food was just great, rich variations, tasty vegetables and fruits, fine wine.. Staff was helpful, whatever we needed, they tried to help. There were a lot of small things, like you don't need to clean your room, you get the present, but all the small things make it to wonderful experience. Swimming pool was next to the second building of the hotel, just some meters to walk, there was refreshment, table tennis, bedminton.. We will come again, definitely.

Amazing hotel with great atmosphere. Everything was just wonderful. Lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. Staff in the restaurant was very kind, food was extraordinary and live music on Friday evening? What a nice surprise. Room and bathroom were like from the real castle. I was travelling with two kids and nothing was the problem, bed for the son, crib for the little one, they even got some nice presents. We didn't have time for swimming pool, but we will definitely try it next time.

Lovely location in the middle of the vineyards. Spacious and comfortable studio with a great bed as well as pleasant bed linen. The communication with Eszter was absolutely great, really kind and pro-client approach. There is a pool in the garden to cool down after a day of Wachau exploration. Last but not least - the breakfast concept - “spoiling pure” - one can hardly imagine a better start of a vacation day.

Very modern building. The triple room was on the second floor, nice and spacious, well equipped. Air conditioning worked well, we needed it. Bicycles can be stored in a spacious storage room. There is also a charging facility, but there are few 230V outlets. We arrived with three bicycles, I always take a power adapter with me. The storage room is closed at 8 pm and opens at 6 am. The city center is far away, but there is a huge shopping center 15 minutes away. There is a good bakery and a pub with a garden 200 meters away.

Weissenkirchen is an absolutely fantcastic place right in the heart of Wachau. The landscape and architecture are amazing. The city is full of history and at the same time very contemporary and nicely kept. Explore the many narrow lanes and foothpaths and make sure to taste the local specialities and drinks in the many "Heurigens" in Weissenkirchen. If you are into Wine this is definitely one of the best places to go in Austria. My favourites were white wines, namely the Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners. The white wines are rated in three classes: For me it works out this way: Starting a good dinner with a light Steinfeder as an apperitive, followed by a Federspiel for the main course and crowned by the full bodied Smaragd with remarkable bouquet and taste together with the amazing Marillenknödel as dessert.

Very nice town with everything for a pleasant stay. The river, the old town, the hill with the vineyards, the boats through the Wahau valley. The bike routs. All these are worth trying. There are enough and different restaurants for every taste. We were there to try local food and wine and we were not disappointed. We cycled to Spitz with our 8 year old son, had lunch and took a boat back - really exciting for the boy.

Melk is a charming, quiet town where I would return as many times as possible. Melk Abbey is extremely imposing, beautiful and full of history. It is a must visit. Wachau is an absolutely wonderful destination for people who love good food, fantastic wine and beautiful scenery and architecture. A bicycle tour is a great choice, as one can explore in their own pace the villages and vineyards and anytime stop and wonder at the historic architecture, castles and fortresses and breathtaking views of the Danube and surrounding landscapes. Dürnstein is one of Wachau's jewels, certainly worth taking the time to visit, from the atmospheric medieval cobbled streets, to the impressive architecture and of course the ruins on the hill, known as where once Richard Lionheart was imprisoned.
