- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 82 reviewsSpacious, fully equipped, proper luxury apartment with all mod cons. We greatly enjoyed the BBQ, along with the kitchen facilities and the full-size fridge freezer with ice/water dispenser. The location is central but quiet, with a pleasant evening aspect from the balcony, of the land rather than the sea. The local 'strip' is but a short walk away, if that's more your thing.Guest review byAnthonyIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 387 reviewsRight near beach and walking distance to shops/restaurants. Clean, well appointed room. Comfortable beds. Thoughtful additions in kitchen such as ice bucket and several ice trays in freezer. Board for cheese platter, variety of wine glasses etc. very happy and would definitely stay again 😊Guest review byHeidiAustralia

We also really appreciated the restaurant/bar suggestion from the hotel as we didn't really know where to go and had a fantastic night out.Guest review byMathildeMzFrance

We were ungraded to a 3 bedroom villa when we had booked a 2 bedroom. Extremely spacious, beautiful private pool, lots of spaceGuest review byPETERNew Zealand

Port Douglas has something for everyone.
Port Douglas has something for everyone. There are a range of restaurants for all price ranges and plenty of shops. Four Mile Beach is perfect for long walks and beautiful sunrises. It is easy to get around walking and lots of tour options if you want to see the Daintree area or the Reef.Guest review byAlisonAustralia - 10.0
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree.
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)Guest review bykimAustralia - 10.0

Cottonwood is like an estate all to yourself, well- and fully-appointed, in close proximity to Port Douglas, Mossman, Daintree & the rainforest. More than enough amenities. It might be considered "expensive" by some but not by us, not for what you get for your money. Amenities? It does not lack any and actually exceeds what most would consider "more-than-enough", much less "the basics". And the Hosts are just that, to a tee: Helpful beforehand and during our stay. Thank you very much.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Honestly it is a beautiful part of the world, so many amazing sites and places to explore. During our trip it was very busy so I would definitely recommend booking for dinner ahead of time as it was too full for us to get in anywhere however the Thai restaurant made a plan for our group and they were phenomenal. We would highly recommend Quicksilver cruise for a reef trip - well worth the price.Guest review byAdrianNew Zealand - 10.0

Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.Guest review byBruceAustralia - 10.0

If you are after a relaxing holiday destination, with a pleasant time strolling around shops and food options - Port Douglas is a good choice. Weekend markets in the area are a really cool morning activity. We really enjoyed the Lady Douglas boat tour, the Captain was informative of the area and very accommodating for Photographers. The Wildlife Habitat had some amazing experiences up close and personal and also the atmosphere and staff of the Tin Shed was always perfect for an evening out.Guest review byAmyNew Zealand - 10.0

Mossman Gorge is very pretty and worth a visit. Recommend Mandy and Chris' Mossman Gorge B & B. Goodies Cafe is a nice place to have a snack or lunch. Owners and Staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is good too.Guest review byCindyAustralia
