As an American expat living in South Africa, I must say that Gabarone is like a chill, laid back Johannesburg. The city itself is so modern as far as infrastructure. The people were just as friendly as South Africans. I feel like it idea for a middle-age to older person seeking a city experience that still feels relaxed and safe. The people are friendly and lots of activities.
The people are friendly and lots of activities. The food was good however things are a bit pricey. I was with my friends, we enjoyed the different malls. We also went to Thapong and Park27 for different lifestyles and music genres. However at some areas of Gaborone there were very huge potholes,but easy to get around as we used our own vehicle.
