We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more of this welcoming city to see. We spent most of our time in the Forks area. We visited the Human Rights Museum. Very emotional, but we appreciate admitting to past mistakes and working to correct them instead of pretending they were never made. It was a beautiful July day. Other than the museum we spent the entire time outdoors. Everyone we met was friendly.Guest review byDunning - 10.0

Brandon has at least one of everything you need except I couldn't find a restaurant with duck on the menu and believe me I looked thoroughly. Found lots of nice places to eat though and great hospitality and very safe and multicultural mid sized city. I recommend coming up if you're in the area.Guest review byGeorgeCanada - 8.0

Some snags with weather/train issue but we got great help from the local Tour Operator, Frontiers North and Destination Churchill. 🌟 Review for Sarah’s Dream House – Churchill, Manitoba Sarah’s Dream House is exactly what the name promises — a dream come true! ✨ Every wish is met with warmth and care. The location is perfect — close to everything in town — and the breakfasts are fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy, and the host goes above and beyond to make sure your stay in Churchill is truly magical. The house has five guest rooms, a welcoming central living room, and a shared kitchen — a wonderful setup that brings travelers together. One of the best parts of staying here was meeting the other guests. We shared meals, photos, stories, tours, and even a car! Everyone was so friendly, and we’ve all become lifelong friends. The owner, Taylor, is truly special — he even rented us his car for a day and gave us rides to and from the airport and train station. Everyone in town knows and loves him, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home and where connections are made as easily as memories — Sarah’s Dream House is the perfect place to stay in Churchill. 🐻❄️Guest review byMaureenUnited States - 10.0
Steinbach is a cute clean and homey little town!
Steinbach is a cute clean and homey little town! With many family businesses in the area it makes it a wonderful place to shop and enjoy. There are many different things to do as a family and enjoy in the Steinbach area. We enjoyed delicious lunches, coffee that was delectable, Unger meats for all our grilling desires, strawberry picking as a family, the beautiful aquatic centre and even a wonderful round of golf! I’m sure there is much more that we could explore and we can’t wait to come back and do just that!!Guest review byKieraCanada - 8.0

Dauphin is a fairly compact town and it is easy to get anywhere from anywhere else in town in less than ten minutes. There are a few attractions in town such as Fort Dauphin Museum, the Railway Museum. The restaurant scene has a few chains (McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, Mr Mike’s) as well as locally owned places like Adelina’s Pizza, Corinna’s) plus a craft beer tap room (Obsolete Brewery). There is one movie theatre that is community owned and is very modern. The downside? Most businesses, including most non chain restaurants are closed on Mondays.Guest review byEd - 2.0

The country side is beautiful ! Lots of nice lakes and rivers. Don't stay in Thompson if you can. Paint lake is a great alternative. There are a few places in the city for Air B and B but seldom free.Guest review byClaytonCanada - 10.0

If with a family then stay two or three days and enjoy the Town of Swan River and its people. I would recommend the Timberline Restaurant which is right across the highway from the New Country Motel. Check out the museum, the indoor swimming pool, the downtown, the Legion Branch, the library, and the walking trails. Swan River is easy to get around ... get a free town map from the motel office. On another note get a free Town of Swan River Pin from the town office. I offered to pay for one and they said no to the money. I wouldn't avoid anything ... check out the stores, food stores, etc. Leave Swan River for a morning or afternoon and go to the Magnetic Hill ... it really works and not hard to find. That tourist attraction is a must that the kids will especially like.Guest review byKelvon - 10.0

For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car. I did not rent a car and the private hire cars like Uber and Lyft did not go to one of the places I had hoped to visit. There were no tours to that place available. So I suggest that if you are travelling in by plane or train, that you rent a car for the places further out from Winnipeg.Guest review bymaria.lingCanada - 10.0

We went to a Brandon Wheat kings hockey game, it was excellent. Staff and people at the game were very friendly and helpful. Loved the blimp and the fan participation games. Enjoyed the selection of food and drinks. We also went to Queens Park, very enjoyable.Guest review byVioletCanada
