We haven’t stayed in a hotel for quite some time. We had zero complaints or concerns. The room was as clean as the day it was opened, I’m quite sure. There was no trace of other people. No stray hairs. No unwashed bedding concerns. Pristine. 10/10. Will always choose the Marriott when we stay in Saskatoon.

I am an alumni of the University of Saskatchewan (Ph.D.

I am an alumni of the University of Saskatchewan (Ph.D. 1975). We had a memorable trip because my wife and I visited Saskatoon after 50 years. It was a nostalgic trip. We revisited the little apartment on Temperance Street which was our home in 1974-75 (as a graduate student). When we left Saskatoon in 1975 it had a population of 135,000. Now (in 2025) the Greater Saskatoon has grown to a metropolis of +300,000. We could not recognize many neighborhoods. The university has expanded significantly. The campus is not only big, it is one of the most beautiful campus in Canada. Most of the buildings have historical architecture, Visitors should take a tour of the campus. Also, the South Saskatchewan River that runs through the city adds to the natural beauty of the city. There are several bridges that are tourist attractions near the downtown. There are many good restaurants in Saskatoon. We ate at Red Lobster. There are several good Mediterranean and Indian (South Asian) restaurants. Chinese restaurants in Saskatoon have a good reputation. Driving through the city is easy.

Gorgeous city. Tons of great walking paths. Lots of green spaces. Has great shopping and friendly folks. Did not see any panhandlers, homeless or encampments. City is litter free. Has gift certs, so are at downtown Keg, which was first class. Easy to get around by car.

Loved the historic feel of the town. We were. Coming through on our travels. We were a bit disappointed that all of Main Street was closed by the time we got there at 5:45. Looked like a lot of lovely shops but had to wait until 10:00 for them to open so only got to a few before we had to be on our way!

The was large room with a fridge and a couch.

The was large room with a fridge and a couch. There was a counter with a sink in the room. Moreover it had a large desk. The was a large TV, however the remote control worked at the beginning and later did not. It may have been the batteries in the remote control. The room had a fan the controlled the hot and cold air to the room, it was a cold day and the hot air did not work. I suggest you check the room before committing to stay the hotel.

This trip was short as I was there to attend a community event. However, Prince Albert is a thriving community with friendly people that is definitely worth a visit. It is also very close to countless beautiful Saskatchewan lakes and forests such as Prince Albert National Park.

I always stay at this Canalta on my way out east. Very clean, friendly staff, great continental breakfast and a little snack store with board games to can use. If traveling with children its a great place. Oh and the pool is really nice. Tons of parking if you have trailer. Its also close to a very good restaurant that i would recommend.

    Had trouble finding Boston pizza.

Had trouble finding Boston pizza. Using my navigation in my truck sent me in circles as trying to follow the street signs in Kindersley it would appear they bought the signs at a yard sale and just found a post that matched the bolt holes and put them up.
