Super comfortable location, Monica was great in taking care of everyone. Breakfast is amazing with a wide choice of salty and sweet, fresh bread every day. The atmosphere is very familiar. Just 2 minutes from the train station - great if you stay here to hike around. But also, 7min walking distance to the city center. Lovely stay, very quite despite the closeness to the train station (you don't hear a thing). Comfy bed while the pillow is the classic huge and structureless that hotels love so much.

I have stayed here several times. It is very expensive so it makes a lovely treat. Personally I like that it is all „auf Deutsch“. I like to experience a place from that country‘s perspective, plus I can work on my German!

Friendly staff that was very helpful. We had a last minute change of plans and the staff was very accommodating. The food in the restaurant is amazing. We speak English only and everyone was incredibly friendly. Located within walking distance to many great activities and shops. The room was very comfortable and clean.

This hotel is an absolute gem! We had a charming Appenzeller style room, with bed canopy and hand painted features, looking on to the cobblestoned pedestrian street and colourful buildings. Breakfast was excellent- a generous selection of local cheese and meat, freshly.baked breads and eggs. Highly recommend staying 3 nights, as you receive a card with free access to local cable cars and museums.

Located directly at Appenzell’s historical town square, the "Landsgemeindeplatz", the Romantik Hotel Säntis, with its grand façade, offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

I'm a repeat customer because the last time I stayed, it was a nice quiet room at the back. I got upgraded this time and had a similarly delightful, quiet room with a view of the neighboring hills. The room was large, comfortable and had period decor without being stuffy. As with the last stay, the staff were very friendly and cheerful and my breakfasts and dinners were highly enjoyable.

Friendliness of staff is excellent. The hotel is beautifully situated in a rural area. They are renovating, but they reckon with the guests. Food is good. Ample parking space. Personal touch.
