The hotel and rooms were very clean. We occupied a total of three rooms; two were perfect, but room #3 did not have adequate clearance between the bed and the wall to pass by. The beds were very comfortable, and the WiFi was excellent. As is common in Switzerland, there was no A/C in any of the rooms, but a fan was provided. The bus stop is immediately in front of the hotel and a local public transportation pass is included with the room. The room was modern and had a Nespresso machine and pods for coffee lovers. The bathroom was very nice with a tub / shower combo and outlets for curling iron or hair dryer. The lake is directly across the road with a large park like area that is actually a restaurant. We had a dinner of pizza and drinks after scanning the QR code on the table and placing our order on the phone. Plan for a lot of walking although it's easy to hop on/off trams. Delicious restaurants, gelato shops and bakeries on just about every block. We were surprised at how crowded it was in early September, but the weather was temperate, so a good time to go. Booked room with a mountain view. However, on reaching the property, upgraded to Lake view at a cost of CHF 20 per day. Room had amazing view of Lake and hills. Property is located in Weggis and is easily accessible from Boat and bus ( Frequency of 30mins to 60mins). Town is very peaceful and one can enjoy beautiful walk around the lake. We were travelling by car, and wanted to be somewhere near Lucerne where we planned to have supper. Huobschur is in the most beautiful setting. Natural paradise with clean air, exquisite views, beautiful bird sound, delightful donkeys and goats. And an extremely gracious, kind and accommodating host and his small team. A total refreshment for our tired travelling spirits! We loved the wooden cabin, simply and beautifully furnished with wooden furniture. Beautiful spacious room, very comfortable bed and great shower. The breakfast was exceptional with homemade bread, delicious locally produced fruit yoghurt and muesli, delicious meat and cheese and lovely fresh fruit. All great value for money. What a gem!
