Breakfast and also food/snacks which we ordered in the hotel restaurant was fresh and tasty. During our stay we didn't have any problem with finding a free place/sunbed in the pool area and also space for parking a car was still available. But the staff, which are all very friendly, communicative and useful is what really sets this hotel apart from others. They provide ublievievable 5 star service thanks to which your stay will be absolutely a pleasure. Very friendly, but professional helpful staff. General cleanliness was v.good. Our room was absolutely wonderful for our requirements. The location of the hotel, was fantastic. Makronissos is in our opinion the best beach in Cyprus! Not so good perhaps - the variety of food availability, with the exception of breakfast. Xylofagou is a perfect starting point for excursions to discover the beautiful island. There are several good restaurants, the sea and the beaches are close and can be easily reached by car within 10 minutes. Xylofagou is not very touristic and offers the opportunity to dive into the real Cyprus life, not into the very touristic nightlife which is offered around Agia Napa. We fell in love with Cyprus and with Xylofagou and hope we will be able to come back one day. Strangely, unfriendlier than London, which a lot of Londoners will understand where I am coming from (big city syndrome). Tourists seemed generally miserable, disrespectful, and also strangely for some to hear, most were not English, despite the sometimes bad reputation we can have abroad. Aside from the fantastic weather and clear Mediterranean Sea, I wouldn’t recommend it. A shame as 30 years ago, it was beautiful, with locals and delicious food, now it’s overtaken and ruined by tourism. We cleaned part of the beach one day, as there was rather a lot of rubbish being left by people. Horrible to see, so if you do decide to travel to Ayia Napa, please take care of your surroundings and treat it like you’d like to be!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

First, think about what kind of vacation you want.
First, think about what kind of vacation you want. If nightlife and clubs are important to you, it’s best to stay near the center. If you’re looking for a more relaxing holiday and nightlife is not a priority, I recommend finding accommodation close to one of the beaches, preferably Makronisos or Landa (this year Nissi Beach was a disappointment). It’s quieter there, yet you still have restaurants and markets nearby, and you can easily reach the center by bus (around 10 minutes). Be sure to download the Cyprus Bus app to check timetables and routes, it makes planning your trips much easier. Also, don’t rely only on buses 101 and 102; many other lines run along Nissi Avenue and can take you from beach to beach. For those who don’t go to the beach early (before 11–12), it’s a good idea to buy your own umbrella on the first day (around €30 for a good one). After 11–12 it’s hard to find a free sunbed, and it’s a shame to go all the way to the beach only to have to leave or go somewhere else.
