It is a very vibrant, welcoming and friendly city.
It is a very vibrant, welcoming and friendly city. There are plenty of traditional brewery pubs with character ie Fruh, Gaffels Kolsh, Malzmuhle, Reissdorf. Very good atmosphere for beer drinkers. Very picturesque walking alongside the River Rhine at one of its widest points. The majestic Koln Dom stands handsomely in the city centre right next to the main central railway station, extremely iconic.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city.
Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city. If you like to party it is obviously good for that as well since the bar scene seems to go all night long during the week. I'm no longer into the bar scene I just know that when I had to leave at 3am to catch my flight they were all still going strong on a Tuesday night. Besides that the architecture and the river scenes are amazing!!!Guest review bybruceUnited States - 10.0

Bonn has not been bombed during WWII, therefore it has the largest well-conserved late 19th century urban area in Germany (Suedstadt). To be mentioned also, the Poppelsdorf Schloss and its wonderful restaurant situated within the Botanical Garden, the Poppelsdorfer Allee and the beautiful Rhine promenade in easy reach.Guest review byUrsula - 10.0

Wonderful-sized city with leafy cycle paths and walkways, streams and the lake, plus beautiful architecture, friendly residents and some great food, including delicious Italian ice-cream. Thoroughly enjoyed the art gallery too - well-designed, informative and a pleasure to spend time in - just like the city itself!Guest review byBruceUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Aachen is a really beautiful city with lots of interesting history predominantly about Charlemagne. The cathedral is stunning. For English people I would highly recommend taking the English language guided tour. It gets you in to parts of the cathedral not available to other visitors. Book in advance as we found to our dismay that the English tour was booked up for the day so had to take the German one which was a bit of a strain on my rudimentary GermanGuest review byHazelUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It’s ani e small good place .. my trip was too short to describe this town but located in the heart of Germany’s Ruhr area, is famous for its industrial heritage, cultural attractions, and vibrant nightlife. Highlights include the German Mining Museum, Schauspielhaus Theater, and lively shopping and dining districtsGuest review byLamaGermany - 10.0

Landschaft park is brilliant.. free and very interesting...history of the blast furnace and you can climb all over it... Nice that they preserve such an historical site. A big shopping centre (Forum) with some really good places to eat. We are in Asia in the Forum... great value for money (19 eur for 2 meals) and another day we ate from the kebab shop opposite the Asia... Both times, excellent food and reasonably priced.Guest review byReidNetherlands - 8.0

Don’t expect a regular hotel, this is a ground floor 2 bed apartment which we were unaware of when we booked….however it ticked all our boxes for an overnight stay. No complaints here. Overall a good apartment with extras.Guest review byIvorUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Definitely not a 4-star hotel.
Definitely not a 4-star hotel. First of all, the room lacked basic amenities: no safe for valuables, no closet for clothes, no phone to contact reception, and not even a simple shower cap. A lot of rooms have broken AC and broken lights in the bathroom. Reception people are very slow and helpless. You need to walk from 4th floor to ground floor if any issues as no phone to call reception. They say call on mobile but as foreigner people we must pay for call which is ridiculous because they do not provide service that should be. Do not follow up on what promissed to guests. At checkout, they offered a 20% refund due to all the inconvenience, but we never received it, and no one responded to follow-up messages when we approached them about when we get refund back. Extremely unprofessional. We will never return and will strongly advise others to avoid this place.Guest review byVera van den BergNetherlands
