The hotel is so well managed, it has a great selection of Food and different resturants. The staff here anticipate every need you have with true professionalism. The facilites are perfectly maintained. This is my eight trip to Marsa Alam and this hotel has been the best so far. Well done all of you and especially the great gala night for christmas. Amazing experience!!! Friendly and helpful, exceptional service - they will help with any request. You feel like a very wanted guest. Food is 10/10 each time, great variety of options. I couldn’t think you enough for everything you did .The people are so professional and nice .Doing their best to make each guest happy.They are really taking care of every single detail .They even upgrade my room to another one pool and sea view …just when they know it is my first time to visit them and I am alone in my trip. Also,they have prepared a very nice table decorated with flowers when I was taking my dinner at beach restaurant without even asking for it .it was a vey nice gesture from them ❤️♥️❤️

This property it’s one of the best place I have ever stayed at. I have no words for describing the attention to details and the perfect concept of this location. our stay at the lodge was exceptional in any sense. the room are large with a minimalist interior and a wonderful balcony overlooking the Red Sea. the infinity pool it’s wonderful . the restaurant and the service is more then exceptional… greeting you every day like it was the first time you were there and we felt so welcomed. everyday you can watch the sunrise right in front of the property and the Red Sea it’s so full of life and beauty. we did some escursions booked via the hotel and it couldn’t be better . every corner of this lodge it’s so nice and the people that work there make everything even nicer for your stay. Ahmed at the reception went above and beyond to make our stay even more pleasant. keep it up with your beautiful concept of peace and connect with nature cause you are winning . we only wish we could stay longer but we will definitely come back next time we chooce to stay in Marsa alam . thank you so much.

Chef Ahmed is amazing, really is a fundamental part of the hotel experience. All staff is super friendly and great (some maybe a bit too friendly, but I get it, it is the culture) Food’s great, shops close by, the beach is literally right next door.     We chose the hotel as our first all-inclusive holiday resort experience and it was way beyond our expectations. We were upgraded to a family room with a private pool sharing with our nearby buildings and even without that, there were so many pools of different depths and for different activities around, so spaces and availability were never an issue. There was also a private beach which people do snorkelling. There were daily programmes and performance catered for different ages and groups. We watched night-time water show (hoverboard) and had fun at the afternoon pink party (foam party in central pool). The waterpark for children and adults were fantastic with different slides and facilities. There were bar, food court, and restaurant scattering around the resort, so food and drink were never too far away. Food were great - different restaurants to choose with cuisines of various regions and cultures. Special BBQs and roasts, fruit specials, pastry and desert - like food shows every day. We were also offered to a special dinner (with live music performance) and attended an a-la-carte dinner party. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We also used the travel agents at the lobby to arrange day trips of snorkelling in the Red Sea and visiting Luxor. The hotel seemed to be known and popular among European visitors, but less for British ones. It's not as busy or crowded as other popular locations that we saw in most travel agency's holiday packages. I'd definitely recommend.

    Oasis", i had an idea and picture in my mind of the meaning of this word before our trip. After our trip, i can truly say i found a little gem of a diversparadise in Marsa Alam. From arriving in the airport to saying goodbye at the end of our trip, we were greeted with so much warmth, kindness and professionalism that will blow your mind totally in the positive way 😁 The hotel, a collection of little houses with seaview, and opendeck restaurant give you the feeling of being in a tiny community, actually divefamily. Food is buffetstyle in the morning and evening and even possible for lunch. We chose a la carte for lunch. Always tasty, never blend or boring and even spicy is an option 😉 We stayed 7 nights and were never offered the same dish twice. Divecenter I have dived all over the globe and can honestly say that this divecenter exceeds all expectations. Very personal and professional service: top notch briefings, enthousiastic and kind guides, helpfulness of all the divepersonel (in house and after dives), decent equipement and so on... A big thank you to all of you @ Oasis, i had an amazing holiday and hope to be back some day!

    First of all, this is not a luxury hotel. If you are looking for luxury, do not choose this hotel. on the other hand, it is a hotel with a pleasant, relaxed family atmosphere. The food selection is not very wide, but every day there is chicken, fish, beef, roasted vegetables, salads. It is particularly delicious. Everyone can find something suitable for themselves. There is always a free table and the waiters are very attentive. The beach is actually a 5-minute walk away, but the small bus also runs for those who don't want to walk. The water taxi to the Marina is a fantastic idea, we really enjoyed it, and it takes a maximum of 5 minutes. The "captain" is also a very nice person. A very cozy little hotel, constantly being renovated and expanded, I highly recommend it to those who want a quiet rest. The cleanliness is also fine, the rooms are cleaned every day, we always got something surprising. There is only 2 bottles of water in the minibar, if you want to drink, for example, cola, fanta... it costs extra and can be ordered from the bar. If we come back to this area, we will definitely come back to this hotel. we loved it very much.

    I liked everything about Shams Alam Resort. The food was excellent, with a lot of variety including gluten-free bread, and desserts. The location was great too, fairly close to famous diving spots like Sharm El Luli and Dolphin Reef. The hotel has good facilities, like wellness center with hairdresser, an exceptional organic essential oil shop with lots of other authentic Egyptian art and souvenirs. The hotel receptionists are very helpful with booking trips and taxis. There is also a diving center and they make trips to beautiful reefs such as Hamadi islands and other amazing snorkling /diving spots. I loved absolutely everything. Don't expect a brand new hotel, it is one of the oldest hotels in Marsa Alam but well taken care of. Old but gold!

    It was very close to the Abu Dabab beach, which was one of the best beaches I've ever been to, with amazing snorkelling, sunbathing and diving opportunities, and some nice bars to get some cold beers. The rooms were clean, cosy, and comfortable, and the area around was full of flowers and greenery, which gave such a nice feel to the place. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always making sure we were ok, and the food in the restaurant was great. This place is great for SCUBA divers or people who like to spend most of their time by the ocean.

    The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

    Some places offer excellent takeaway food. There is a public beach a little further away (a short walk across a small desert area) with exceptional underwater flora and fauna. Bring shoes for walking in the water. Please stay above or near the coral (personally, I didn't know there were risks to swimming too far from the reefs, namely sharks. But I didn't see any. On the other hand, there were some exceptional fish! Port Ghalib is a tourist spot but much, much quieter than Hurghada. If someone tries to sell you something, just say ‘La, chokram’ with a smile and everything will be fine. Don't forget to tip a little, as Egyptians earn very little (around €400 per month for a family of four). For activities, I recommend Royal Sea Tours (royalsea-tours.com), who are really great.     I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

    Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing.

    Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.

    The sea was beautiful.

    The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

    Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,...

    Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.

    "I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès. There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. All the staff are adorable, attentive, attentive both on the beach and by the pool as well as in the various restaurants, not to mention the maintenance staff and gardeners, the cooks, the waiters (mention special for Ahzem from the main restaurant, Abd Allah at the pool restaurant, Mostafa who is part of Mahmoud's team, Hod Hod on the beach and many others of whom I don't really know the spelling of their first name. are all very courageous, with a sense of humor and kindness like I have rarely seen. Everything is put in place so that you only want to do one thing... come back as quickly as possible."

    I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t like. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.

    Nice place to stay for one week if the weather is OK.

    Nice place to stay for one week if the weather is OK. Very good place for snorkeling or you can watch coral reef directly in the harbor without being wet. Just bring slice of bead and you will see a lot.
