United StatesThe owners met with us the day we checked in. They could not have been more accommodating! They showed us how everything worked and then left us to enjoy their corner of heaven. We have been in France for 10 weeks and this accommodation has been the most enjoyable and relaxing stay of all the places (9) that we have been. We booked for 5 nights and then extended for another three days before going to the airport. We will definitely return here!

You should prefer this quiet place rather than the noisy world of Paris. There is also a charging station for electric vehicles. There is free parking right at the entrance. It's a clean hotel. I was very pleased. It is a 15-20 minute drive from Charles De Gaulle airport.

We arrived at this location after a very stressful day of all travel plans going awry. The last straw was that we missed the last bus going to Pierrefonds from Compiégne. I called the host and he was able to arrange for an Uber driver to pick us up at the bus station. It was much more expensive (70 Euros instead of the 6 Euros for the bus), but the driver did have to make two trips because there were six of us. When we finally arrived the host informed us that there was no more stress there. The breakfast in the morning was so generous that we were able to buy some supplies in town that afternoon and used the leftovers to make lunch. On our departure the host kindly hauled all of our luggage to the bus stop (a 15 minute walk) in his car so that we wouldn't have to pull in along. An FYI to other travelers: I had read that the town of Pierrefonds was not a very nice town and that there were no restaurants or stores, that was not the case. We found it to be charming. There was a small grocery which had all the supplies for a nice, albeit quick lunch and we would have eaten dinner there the night before if I hadn't believed the reviews.

This Chateau is a wonderful historical place! Beautiful castle with a lake and a park with swans and ducks. History of Chateau is connected with such names as Bugatti and Jean-Jacque Rousseau. All rooms of the hotel are historical and different. The hotel is not totally renovated, so you will experience a real charm and history. But bathrooms and beds are new and are comfortable. Everything is clean. Breakfast with totally homemade farmed products is wonderful! Overall is a good value for money! If you arrive with the car it’s perfect location comparing to overpriced hotels of Paris. No parking problems and convenient location from airport and business Expo areas makes it perfect.

The jacuzzi which we had to pay extra for (and not being mentioned as such in the overall site description), despite what was mentioned in the booking details, since it is conveniently mixed up either by the property manager or booking.com itself.

In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off, we all woke up at the hotel to see what was happening, they told us that someone was smoking in the room but they didn't know from which room so the alarm stayed on for 20 minutes without us knowing where and of course no one could sleep, plus the room wasn't clean at all, there were green insects on the mattress and furniture, and the air conditioning barely worked and was very noisy, in conclusion I don't recommend it and I will never stay there.
They also told me to email them my IBAN account for the breakfast refund because I paid them without knowing that I wouldn't get to eat it because I couldn't catch the plane. I sent the details but in fact it wasn't the correct address, they gave me the wrong email address, and there was no one at the reception after 8:00 PM and I left the next day.

An elegant small city just two-and-a-quarter hours from Calais, and about 60 minutes north of Paris, Compiegne is certainly worth exploring. It is also a great place to stop off to, or on the way back from, a longer holiday in France.

The historic center of Senslis is amazing.
The historic center of Senslis is amazing. It can (and has) been used as a movie set for many historical feature films. Tuesday morning the farmers market occupied most of the streets, complementing the many specialty stores selling fromages, charcuteries, and fruits/vegetables.
It is not touristic at all, no souvenir shops or postcard stands ... just offers a walk back in history - a true gem.

One comes to Chantilly for many reasons, the first is why I visited, for the Chateau de Chantilly. Its collection is world famous. Shocking masterpieces from the Italian Renaissance, many of the greatest masters, and 16th century stained glass windows. Displays of mid 18th century Chantilly soft paste porcelains, also the somewhat horrid taste for hunting prevalent with the rich. Many hunt scenes with dogs, wild animals and well, you get the picture. Others come for the horses, and polo . I think many come to walk in the parks. And one must visit Senlis, a 15 minute bus ride , get off at Ecole/Notre Dame and you're in Gothic France, and visit St. Pierre cjurch, hopefully open for an art exhibtion. Lots of walking around..

The place was clean, tidy, and easy to get to.Checking in and out was simple. We only stayed one night, but it was a cozy and well-equipped space with plenty of beds, blankets, and pillows. The host was thoughtful, leaving breakfast items and essentials in the bathroom for guests. Overall, a nice, comfortable stay.

Beauvais is a lovely city.
Beauvais is a lovely city. There are nice parks, restaurants, bars and museums. Very easy access to Paris with the train like 1 hour and 30min. straight to Gare du Nord. I would recommend visiting despite the not pleasant experience at the airport.

Plenty to see around the Chateau and its grounds.
Hard to get to the Armistice clearing to see the train carriage without your own car, there's no real public transport to it. But exploring the area around there could make an interesting day There's a memorial to Buchenwald that I did not get to.
The pedestrianised old town is pleasant to walk around with a great Town Hall.

Senlis is a nice small relaxing town to visit. Near Chantilly and only about 30 minutes from CDG especially if driving and are not planning on going into Paris. we were there over Sunday and Monday so a lot of restaurants are closed. Recommend Chez Nous and Porte Bellon (very nice and open Monday)

Great place to visit - calm and not always felt particularly touristy. The Potager Des Princes Garden is an absolute must - thoroughly enjoyable, exceeded my expectations and a hidden gem, great for kids too with the menagerie. Good location to have one or two day trips into Paris (note there is a fast train (25 mins) and a slower regional train (45 mins) you can choose from). Some great places to eat or stop and have a drink. Just a tip - I'd not take the local bus timetable as gospel!

It was literally two minutes from the airport. It had private parking, easy to access keys. The room was an ample size, bathroom was clean. But....there was no welcome pack of tea coffee milk despite a mini kitchen so you couldn't make a drink. The double bed was broken...I took the disposable sheets down and examined the broken wooden bed frame sticking through the mattress. As such I'd say it was convenient but basic....somewhere to put your head down....not my idea of a decent night's rest. I'd rate it a 2/5 ...needs improvement! I'm always fair and honest with my reviews. Mike
