- From US$395.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 336 reviewsWe were cared for exceptionally well from the moment we walked in. The management are professional and pay attention to small details. The building is gorgeously maintained (I believe they said it was from the 13th century) and the room was modern and had all the necessities plus extra. We enjoyed the fact that the steam room/pool was reserved privately for all guests which was a surprise and made our stay very special. The restaurant was one of the best dinners we have had.Guest review byBrieSaudi Arabia
- From US$121.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,154 reviewsThis hotel is especially worth coming to due to its very nice wellness center. We took the Spa access option with out room, that I highly recommend. The room is fine, but not exceptional, but the spa is wonderful. It has several basins with massage jets, hammam, sauna, external jacuzzi, and very few people there on week days. It was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The restaurant is also very nice and the personnel is competent, helpful and attentiveGuest review byLoronetSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 17 reviewsWe were a family of 18 in three rooms with young children. The situation of the rooms that we were given on one floor and close together was ideal. It meant any noise didn’t annoy other guests. The size of the 6/8 bed room meant we could all eat together in the evening. The swimming pool/spa area made the holiday extra special. Bread etc can be delivered to your door. Also the staff seemed super relaxed and happy to help.Guest review byGeorginaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 351 reviewsThe views from our room over the lake and Mont Cenis were just stunning. The Chalet is a little old fashioned in terms of decor but that’s part of the charm. The food and the staff are fantastic. There’s a gorgeous village nearby to explore. We were sorry we could only stay for one night as there is so much to do in the area.Guest review byJohannaNew Zealand

Interesting town with cultural heritage.
Interesting town with cultural heritage. I was just passing through en route from Italy to London but it is a perfect stopover for one night. Unfortunately I was there on a Monday, when some attractions eg the castle are closed but I did visit the cathedral. There are many restaurants which sell local produce.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Aix-les-Bains is a very pleasant town on the shores of the biggest lake in France: Lake Bouget. There are lots of restaurants and places to visit including a Casino, mountains and water sports. If you can, we recommend you try the boat cruse around the lake and include a meal on board.Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 10
The apartment is very accommodating.
The apartment is very accommodating. We spent a lot of time there as there was a heat wave and with four people it was just right. It has a good kitchen and two bathrooms so nobody got in each others way. Very close to the centre of Bourg and close to restaurants in the area. We will have no trouble booking again if we are in that area. As there was only four people in our group it was great but it says it is for eight people and that would be a squeeze as there are bunk beds in some rooms. Otherwise thank you for making it a nice place to stay and my transporter fitted in the underground car park with no trouble. definitely recommend as all the people in my group would.Guest review bymark, devonUnited Kingdom - 10
It's a very nice little town.
It's a very nice little town. I was mainly for cycling, there are plenty of options nearby. I loved the place for that. I will go back next year. We ate kebabs and pizza in the surrounding restaurants, and sometimes we cooked in the apartment. We did not use public transport, or traveled by car or bicycle. There is a kebab place two corners down, the maxi tacos, you have to try them, they are very delicious.Guest review byMátéHungary - 10

Brides is a lovely little centre for those who want an attractive location to take leisurely walks in the park and sit and watch the world go by from a shady cafe. We felt as if were part of a real community, going to the boulangerie for cakes in late afternoon and chatting to visitors at the cafes. If we had known how to play belote (a French card game) we would have been welcomed into games taking place in the park. The visitors are mainly aged 50+, many of whom are visiting the town for its thermal cure and well being activities. Getting to the mountains without a car was a challenge as the buses are infrequent and only early in the day. The telecabin to Meribel only runs on Sundays. The effort to get to the mountain villages was well worth the effort. If you want to visit the Three Valleys and have a sense of French life and culture, Brides is the perfect location.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 8.0
I lived in Chambery for a year 20 years ago.
I lived in Chambery for a year 20 years ago. It is the ideal blend of bigger town conveniences and smaller town authenticity. At first drive or walk through, you might think “pass”. But if you get out and start to walk around the central heart of town and also realize the history here, you discover Chambery’s charm.Guest review byRachelUnited States - 8.0

The Lac is a big draw for us on holiday but the lovely park, busy town centre and friendly people make it a home away from home. It’s almost like a two centre holiday. Transport routes are great with regular local buses and a great number of trains to go further afield - Lyon, Grenoble, Annecy, Paris and even Geneva to name a few.Guest review byLeoUnited Kingdom - 10

Great for cheaper and more spacious accommodation and ten minute trip up the hill in the regular funicular to get to Arc 1600. Saves a 50 minute car drive, especially if snowy or time is key. Though usually no snow itself in Bourg. Pretty old town and a functional new town on parallel street. Big supermarkets for stocking up.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10

Perfect town to base yourself for cycling many bucket list climbs though a car is handy to drive to Aple d'Huez and Bessens for other climbs. Still don't get why France shuts down from 12.30 on a Sunday as there are so many good restaurants but not opened when really needed. We really rate the local Indochina restaurant - food superb and cheap.Guest review byJames HallAustralia - 10

Brides is a lovely small town ideal for those who want to enjoy the ski area of the Three Valleys but who want a more relaxed, low key environment for the evenings. There is a lovely park alongside the river to enjoy an evening stroll. There are a few bars and restaurants but you don't come here for night time entertainment.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom
