- From $197.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,055 reviewsIt was delightful from start to finish. Josephine checked me in and upgraded me to a suite, which was stunning, a fluffy soft bed, rich linens, a gynormous soaking tub, towel warmer, amazing water view of my Duart Castle, (where I will visit tomorrow), adjacent pool, sauna and steam room, foot bath, tea kettle for my camomile tea, day and night shades, room warmer clothes closet with ironing board and hair blower, Scottish water, caramel treats and pretzels. The most lavish soaps for bubble bath, hair and body. I especially loved the bamboo dental kit. Everything here is made so we'll that after Installation, will last for a very long time. Meaty doors, light switches and a beautiful authentic Scottish rug throughout. The staff was stellar, attentive and definitely accommodating. I cannot site anything that was missing or amiss. I will be returning soon to my ancestral home, with much gleeGuest review byLynnetteUnited States

The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom felt spacious and luxurious with a huge walk in shower. Picturesque fishing town definitely worth a visit.
Picturesque fishing town definitely worth a visit. Access from the ferry port is via narrow roads with passing places. Numerous walks especially enjoyed the trail to the lighthouse. Distillery and cheese factory are a must. Good restaurant and art at the gallery on the seafrontGuest review byLesUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Whilst Pennygate Lodge is a lovely guest house we found Craignure a very drab functional place. We might have been better staying in Tobermory though the available accommodation there was not as good. Two storms approaching from the west starting with torrential rain did not help make our visit to Craignure very pleasant. Close to ferry of course which is a positive. However nearby Duart Castle well worth a visit.Guest review byJanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

What a fabulous location and not only a well appointed pod but the camp site had everything. The Inn was great with fabulous food and a very friendly staff. The access arrangements for the pod were clear and very well communicated in a timely fashion. The pod itself was very well appointed with a surprising amount of amenities available, clearly very well thought out. Highly recommended.Guest review byStewartAustralia - 10.0

Scenery, wildlife, history in abundance - absolutely breath taking. No cars allowed so be prepared to walk everywhere (there are some bikes that can be hired at the Spar shop). There is a very good café selling hot food / home-baking / teas & coffee but closes at 5.00 pm so if your staying over need to book a table at either of the two hotels on the island. Good food but a little expensive.Guest review byDebbieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Quiet peaceful area.
Quiet peaceful area. Nothing I found made me dislike the area. Duart Castle, home of the Clan MacLean, is nearby and well worth a visit. It is on the way to Fionnphort and the ferry to Iona. If you are interested, you could Fionnphort is one location for cruises to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. I have added a photo of Staffa from the boat, from the island and the path tp Fingals Cave. I have also added a photo Of Iona Abbey. A lovely peaceful island witha n atmosphere all of its own.Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was easy to cycle to the ferry for Iona and we were also able to travel around the island by car, but the roads can be tricky if it is busy. We also had a problem with sea water coming over the road on one occasionGuest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Tash and Craig were fabulous hosts.
Tash and Craig were fabulous hosts. Home difficult to find, but worth the one track drive. Breakfast was best in 18 days in Scotland Craig is a fabulous chef and he never disappointed us. Tash always offered suggestions for sightseeing and detailed driving directions. Thank u Tash and CraigGuest review byRuddick - 10.0
We loved the location and the size of the house.
We loved the location and the size of the house. The photos don't really do it justice. We were a group of all adults so every room having an en-suite was just fantastic. We enjoyed using the house - cooking together in the kitchen and relaxing in the living room. There is some construction in the immediate area but this didn't detract from any enjoyment of the property. It was lovely to walk down to the pier in the evening with a bottle of wine and have a drink. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights there but, even without that, the stars were beautiful. A great base to explore the Island as there's so much to do there - walks were great and visits to other Islands were easy. Recommend Ulva with it's unique ferry, Staffa and the beautiful Iona. The bike hire is just across the road and we loved using the electric bikes to go to Tobermory. The shops, local coffee shop and bakery are all within walking distance and there's a great tea room/farm shop about 2 miles away.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The cottage is set in a beautiful location - so quiet and peaceful - the roads are very narrow but plenty of passing spaces - Tobermory is a great place to explore with a good choice of bars, restaurants and shops and the highlight of our holiday was a boat trip to Staffa where we got close up to puffins nesting on the cliffs beside us - beautiful experience - wish we could have stayed longer than the three nights. The wildlife is spectacular with red deer, golden eagles and white tailed eagles if you are lucky to see them. Perfect place to unwind.Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful, quiet place with happy people.
Beautiful, quiet place with happy people. The restaurants are very good as well. Be prepared for hills, though, unless your accommodation is on the main street. My daughter and I had really good walks there. There were all sorts of ages visiting.Guest review byClaudineMalta
