Stayed for 6 nights but 4/5 would have been fine. We were in Valtos Beach, which was the quieter side of Parga, so it was nice to go into Parga town in the evenings for dinner and shopping. Preveza town itself is one main street leading from the motorway up past the bus station and on to larger areas of Greece. Then there is a middle walking route with a parade of shops, some touristy, but overall a mixture, with small tavernas leading to the central cathedral; there is a lovely bakery just past there! Then the promenade along where the many yachts are parked next to the large bay area. You can take a boat trip from here to see dolphins and turtles. There is very little in the way of historic areas, other than on the outskirts past the bus station where you will find ruins and the Archaeological Museum. There is a small secluded beach to the far end of the promenade, where they play boules and you can relax on sunbeds. Igoumenitsa is an ideal starting point to visit lots of lovely areas of mainland Greece. The beaches North of the town towards Albania are lovely and the water clean. Outside Igoumenitsa going south there are lots of bays and hotels to visit and some lovely unspoilt countryside and villages. Great hotel clean and has an awesome view. The breakfast is great and healthy, the food also at the restaurant is great pricy though but worth it! The room is comfortable the heating is great and the wellness center is a must to visit and book a massage. Ideal location for a mountain escape but the village as a location overstays its welcome after 2-3 days. If one would like to stay longer as I did you should used as a basis to visit Metsobo Ioannina Konnitsa and Kalpaki. the nature is breathtaking truly amazing especially in the winter when it shows. The road is relatively OK but needs attention especially during foggy days. The two churces in mikro and megalo pappigo are unique historic and archritectural monuments but as unfortunately closed most of the year. Monodendri is located at the upper end and above the Vicos Gorge and has a lot to offer in addition to a number of good restaurants and charming hotels. We really enjoyed our 2 week stay in Sivota. It’s a small resort with everything close by. Lots of bars & restaurants overlooking the bay with fishing boats & yachts. Also great sunsets! Our favourite beach was Kourvouno, only 10 euros for the sun beds & service on the beach. Lovely bar/restaurant! Others like Galliko & Mega Ammos were also great. We went on a couple of boat trips, one to Paxos & a short one to the Blue Lagoon.
