- From US$127.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 470 reviewsSidra Hotel has a perfect combination of size, layout of various open spaces as well as a warmth and friendly design. It is perfect located in the middle of the activ town- area and at the same time hidden and modest enough to enable a kind of hidden retreat character. It is the place to be, for those who are really interested in soul and dynamic of the so friendly local inhabitants of Hydra. Compared to other typical "show-off" places it gives one a chance to explore this unique Island with fair prices. But all said before would be nothing without the persons who run the place which becomes home during my stay. Kallia and Karim are not only professional, accurate, efficient, supporting, and great hosts. Both of them, each on his own way, have the rare ability to see each of their guests individually as a person and know exactly where and how to pick each of them up with empathie, patient and so helpfull support; all those spiced in a manner of humor, friendly attitude and natural handling. A prefomance which seems almost casual but contains so much effort and love, is a high-end perfection of hospitality. Kallia and Karim are the real Capital of this home to be at and make it to be far more than just a hotel. I've been around now for a while and I have visited many places and countries. I can hardly compare whereever I have experienced hospitality of hosts and the beauty of the place melting to such a unique experience like I had this late spring in Hydra. Good people meet more than once in life, may you stay protected and blessed. YorgoGuest review byJorgeGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 812 reviewsAmazing location, only 70m from the port where the ferry drops you off with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and small stores right outside the front steps. With all that being said, it was very quiet and calm in the room and the area was very peaceful. The staff are absolutely incredible and will go above and beyond for any of your needs. We had been traveling for quite a few weeks at this point and they kindly let us use their washing machines. The room itself had very high ceilings, large windows and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a typical size for europe (no bathtub or ventilation). The AC was strong and the wifi worked very well. It is also worth mentioning that there is a rooftop terrace to dry out bathing suites & towels as well as to have meals. I would certainly recommend and look forward to returning!Guest review byTaisCanada
- From US$781.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 110 reviewsI really loved that Anna met us at the dock when the private boat transfer arrived and welcomed us. That set the tone For our anniversary stay. I also love the fact that our beach chairs were already reserved and waiting us. The staff was exceptionally accommodating for everything that we asked for. I loved our room with private porch with sea view. I honestly can say that this was a great experience .I wish we had stayed longer. Anna thank you so much for your hospitality, I really appreciate you accommodating us. The young man at the beach was also very polite and helpful. Everyone was just so pleasant and helpful. Yes, and the sunset at dinner time is fantastic!Guest review byAldythUnited States
- From US$220.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 486 reviewsThe rooms and building were beautiful -high celings, styled in an antique way. Amazing Service- The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was really good- coffee, juice, toast with spreads, mix of fruit, greek yogurt, honey and a choice of eggs cooked your way. The beds were comfortable Great location as 5 or 7 minutes walk from Port. Minimal stairs compared to the rest of the island . Slight incline up from Port, but only a feew stairs up at the hotel. This was good as I have a bad KneeGuest review byMeganNew Zealand

The island is very touristy.
The island is very touristy. The tourists are concentrated in a limited area. There seem to be more tourists than Greeks. The Greeks servicing the tourists seemed to be overwhelmed and many did not appear to be friendly.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.Guest review byTanyaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was last on the island in 1997 and although it is much more commercial now, it is still charming. There are no cars, you walk or take a small boat to get between the towns. Charming restaurants and rock beaches - there is good food and drink to be found at reasonable prices. Note that I visited in October, I assume that this island is beyond capacity in the summer.Guest review byRobertCanada - 10.0

We had a stop over in Hydra for a few days and enjoyed it. Recommend a harbour view, it is pricey, but so are other apartments. We did not venture from the Hydra town, nor did we go swimming; however, if you do, a longer stay would be beneficial.Guest review byAnneLuxembourg
