The staff were super kind and all our wishes were fulfilled. We booked a room with a private sauna and this was the best decision. The hotel had an amazing buffet breakfast and dinner! The spa, gym and pool were ideal early in the morning. We especially enjoyed the cocktail bar! A wonderful, professional and friendly bartender agreed to try and make our own alien cocktail recipes. In general, everyone was extremely kind and helpful, especially the young lady at the reception. We enjoyed both Opatija and Rijeka on our way to Italy and at the end of our stay were surprised that the garage fee was deducted from our bill. We also got a complimentary drink at the bar. We were there as a family of two adults and three kids, and the place could easily accomodate even more people. The location is right by the cozy fishermen‘s haven, a treat to look upon from the house‘s balcony or the terrase. Going to the beach is a ~5 min walk along the water (entry free of charge, and having the necessary facilities as well as a nice bar). The water in this „fjord“ is warmer and saltier than in the open sea - which actually makes swimming more pleasant. The hause has air condition (except one bedroom) and absolutely everything that a family needs during 1-2 vacation weeks. Lovely location with fantastic views , lots of faded elegance. It’s a place that was obviously frequented by rich tourists,but time has moved on and sadly now lots of the buildings are incredibly shabby. The restaurants are of a good standard,and the fish is excellent. Overall building maintenance is important if you are having a appartement for lease. It will reflect the overall rating. We found Senj to be a great place to stay.
We found Senj to be a great place to stay. It was perfect for driving to other activities and sites like the Fortress, beaches and Plitvice Park. Although there is not much to Senj old town, it was very nice to explore and enjoy the plaza and restaurants. It was a great place to visit with plenty of activities to keep you active such as walks and diving (Squatina Diving Centre just round the corner), or there was the beach where you could just spend the week relaxing depending on your preferences. Malinska has a very long coast line with a multitude of beaches, from stony and secluded to small pebbles good for children. A picturesque center with a lot of eateries and bakeries, large grocery stores where you can buy excellent meats and fruits.
