- From $268.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,960 reviewsThis was now the fourth or fifth time I have stayed at this hotel. I have travelled all over the place and, I have to say, I think this is my favorite hotel ever. Easy to get to by car. No-fuss check-in. Hotel and rooms in great condition. Great views. The thermal water pools are excellent (didn't get to the saunas this time!), some of the best I've ever been in (I live in Romania, on the border with Hungary, so thermal water is omnipresent). The included dinner and breakfast are served as a big buffet with all kinds of Hungarian staples. I've never been disappointed with the food. Tons of places nearby to visit (although you probably won't leave the hotel!)..and, to top it all off...a huge salt mound where the thermal waters come out of the hillside. It's more of a splurge destination for relaxation but considering all you get, it's well worth the money. Will definitely come again.Guest review byCoreyRomania
- From $291.69 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 361 reviewsThe staff at the hotel is very caring and helpful. Everyone is working to make your stay as comfortable as they can (and I do mean everyone, from the receptionists, waitresses, the sommelier, the cooks in the kitchen). And they do it in a heartfelt, sincere, kind way. The wellness had everything we needed (sauna, jacuzzi, hot and cold water pools, solar beach room, hay therapy and salt room). Location is top-notch as the Eger spa is within walking distance and one can simply walk from the hotel directly to the spa. We really enjoyed breakfast (fresh bakery products and a good selection of options) and dinner (modern, well thought-out meals, very tasty I'd even say gourmet :) ). At last but not least, I'd give a shout to the wonderful musician who plays during dinner time, we liked it very much :).Guest review byTamásHungary
- From $85.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,923 reviewsConveniently located and the staff were top notch. Extremely helpful and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The view of the castle from the room was a big pleasant bonus. The chef in particular accommodated our 3 vegan guests with options at dinner and breakfast on no notice from us, and with a professional and extremely pleasant attitude. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.Guest review byLorraineUnited States

We travel to Eger for thermal spas.
We travel to Eger for thermal spas. There are 5 within 15 minutes from Eger: 1 in Eger, 3 in Demjen, 1 in Egerszalok. Instead of staying in resorts we choose stay in Eger, not far from historic center with unique atmosfere and lots of reastaurants. Eger is not crowded. There was always place in every restaurant we were eating in for us.Guest review byPeterUnited States - 8.0

We came here with public transport. From Budapest with train. Then with bus. No offered some transport/taxi for transfer. Probably because people coming only with cars. So it was not easy for me.Guest review byRuditeUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Very expensive village compared to what's actually available. Only a few restaurants which cost the same as higher-quality restaurants in the capital, and only a few things for sightseeers. Not much to do for days in case of rain. I'd recommend against going to the cave, because people have been doing their business inside. Szilvásvárad is good for like a 3-4 days trip, but nothing more.Guest review byDavidHungary - 10.0

It was a bit drizzly during our stay which didn’t bother me at all but I overheard some guests mentioning that there’s no cover/roof over the outside thermal baths so they were getting wet. Please replace the bulbs on the path which leads back to the hotel from the outside baths. These are open til 2am, and as I am short sighted, my glasses were steaming up and in general, it’d be safer. Overall I’ve had a very relaxing experience.Guest review byGG - 10.0
Noszvaj is a beautiful town just below the Bükk Mountains.
Noszvaj is a beautiful town just below the Bükk Mountains. It has a lot to offer: it is worth visiting the cave-houses, the local Gazda-house but also surounding towns as well (for thermal baths, historical cave houses and the "kaptárkő" culture). Hiking is also possible. Eger and the neighbouring towns are close with various activities.Guest review byEnikő XiomaraHungary - 10.0

It is a quiet village in the Matra hills - clear air, nice locals. Everything you need for a quick or longer stay away from the city - many tourist / hiking routes starts from the village from easy ones to difficult ones, there is a small grocery store, a few restaurants with great food, also a few options for staying overnight from simple ones to ****, also a small local church with service almost every day, a kind of pub if you are after these kind of activities as well.Guest review byVagablondi77Hungary - 10.0

A lot of nice hiking trails, caves to visit, a marvellous SPA at Saliris resort. We have been to St Andrea wine tasting, but it didn't match our expectations (we tried 6 wines within 2(!) hours, the guide was talking way too much and was not really engaging).Guest review byLidia_SzHungary - 10.0

Noszvaj is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful town. It is easy to get around even on foot or by car. Check out the De La Motte castle as well as the caveflats. Choose Panorama Hotel for your stay. Most places are very dog friendly!Guest review byVivienUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Eger is a picturesque town with many sites to visit.
Eger is a picturesque town with many sites to visit. Perhaps the most famous is the Castle (Vár) where a small group of defenders successfully stopped a Turkish attack of an army of almost 100.000 people in 1552. The Turkish were able to occupy this area only 40 years later. There is an old University building with an astronomy study (planetaruim and camera obscura) in its tower and a huge library where even codexes are in stock. There is a huge basilica, and many restaurants and wine tasting places where you can taste the vines of Eger, red and white. There is a thermal bath and you can make trips to the nearby Bükk mountains.Guest review byLendvayHungary
