Having the animals at the property just makes you out more do the walking trails, experience the wild.. just perfect The spa area is definitely just one of the best in all of Ireland!! The facilities are just stunning, and the heating pool outside with the views of nature.. amazing.. The bedrooms are super clean, a very large room and I had the balcony with a view of the sheep grazing.. supeeer The food menus from the room service to the bar or even the breakfast was really good as well, good portions and not expensiveGuest review byCátia MendesPortugal

A nice town to walk around with parks and ring roads.
A nice town to walk around with parks and ring roads. One-way traffic which makes it a little confusing but there are several big carparks. Plenty of coffee shops and little restaurants around the town. Traditional music session in Blessings Pub on a Thursday evening not to be missed.Guest review byMaireIreland - 10.0

The Hotel had great facilities and walks around the golf course in the grounds so we did not venture out much. We drove through Ballyconnell on our Way up to Marble Arch Caves which was a 35 Minute drive from the Hotel and is well worth a visit.Guest review byJasonIreland - 6.0

We were really only passing through the area, not visiting Cootehill itself as a destination. We did have a very average meal in one of the pubs. A very colourful village, but without a good reason to stay nearby, the best thing about it was our accommodation house.Guest review byJMCWSNew Zealand - 10.0
Country side !
Country side ! Fresh air , nice views, nice people , very friendly ! Quiet , relax ! What more do you want ! It's the country side ! Peaceful! Need a car to go eat out or call the local taxies! Walks are free, no need to pay 🤣. If you want something else then go to Barcelona, Venice , Seville !!!!Guest review byWallachian - 10.0
It was a home from home experience. Spotlessly clean .
It was a home from home experience. Spotlessly clean . Home baked scones with homemade jam await us and fresh milk in the fridge . Fran definitely went the extra mile . The best accommodation we have encountered. It is within walking distance of village . Great chipper/ curry takeaway , only downfall it doesn’t take card payment. Ideal location to hike and explore the Cavan / Fermanagh regionGuest review byGretchenIreland - 2.0

Ballyconnell is very small but it's in a naturally beautiful and historical area. There are lovely loop walks around the town and along the river. Do some research beforehand and plan a few stops on route to explore the area (i.e. the Cavan Way, Cavan Burren Park, the various caves and forest parks and lakes nearby). There are some hidden gems and it's well worth it. For most of these, you will need a car though. It's ideal for people who just want to switch off for a few days.Guest review byClaudiaCanada - 10.0
Great location overlooking beautiful Lough Sheelin.
Great location overlooking beautiful Lough Sheelin. Nice 9 hole par 3 golf on site. Had a great day fishing on the Lough. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would be a fab wedding location. Restaurant closes relatively early and no other options for food nearby so just be aware of that. We will definitely go back!Guest review byMiaCIreland - 8.0
Swanlinbar is peaceful, lovely views from Swan Cabin.
Swanlinbar is peaceful, lovely views from Swan Cabin. The petrol station has a shop for basic groceries, but there are no bars or eateries in the village. Nearest are in Ballyconnell (10 miles) or Keepers Arms in Bawnboy (6 miles) has a simple menu. Beautiful drive or cycle up towards Glangevlin.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom
