- From $251.48 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 4,463 reviewsLocation, Location, Location. It’s five minutes from the airport bus stop. A lot of pubs and the castle are around the corner. But my room was very quiet, couldn’t hear any noise from drunken people. The staff is friendly and helpful. My room was very cozy, the bed perfect. Best thing: two different types of sockets - you can use your US charger without any issues.Guest review byStefanGermany

We parked the car and left it for 3 nights and walked or used buses / trams. Driving is slow and like many cities confusing for visitors. Dublin is quite expensive (over 30 euros for 4 drinks in a pub, 8+euros for a pint of Guinness) and eating out can add up quickly. Buses and trams a couple of euros per adult ride. The city centre is mostly walkable and some streets are traffic free anyway. Guinness Storehouse is very popular (surprise!) so book online for a timed entry before you go as it makes it easier to enter. We enjoyed it, about 2 hours or so and the included drink doesn't have to be Guinness, but it tastes good there. Book of Kells / Trinity College Library has timed entry tickets also and is also a couple of hours if you read a lot of the museum and Library info stuff. And you can walk around the College grounds. National Museum of Ireland maybe not worth the effort unless its contents are your specialism.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not...
If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not for you. Dundalk is a former railway town, largely built round the (now defunct) works for the GNRI and with much 19th century red-brick architecture. It has a busy high street with a lot of small shops, pubs and restaurants, none are grand, it reminds me of similar towns in the UK before planning blight took hold. A lot of effort seems to have gone into smartening the place up in recent years, which is nice. Would that other towns of its scale have survived so well it would be nothing exceptional, but as so few have, it has a real charm. As a base, it is well sited to explore the countryside around, which has a long and interesting history, with a lot of historic sites.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dun Laoghaire is a hip spot away from the huddle of the city Center. Great walking on the pier, waterfront and through the village. Some lovely restaurants and coffee shops . Breakfast at the Vanilla bean was lovely. The famous Forty Ft swimming spot is a short walk. Lots of quaint shops and vintage secondhand stores scattered along the Main Street . Good public transport on busses , trains and taxis . Aircoach to Dublin Airport from Marine rd opp City Hall. Market in the Peoples park is well worth a visit if you’re there over the weekend. Childrens fun fair on the waterfront runs daily from 12 noon till 7 pm . €3/ ride.Guest review byJenniferCanada
