Nice room, very good bed/mattress, good lighting in every spot of the room, spacious bathroom, hanging space for clothing (including a vertical, easy to use, iron), a safe big enough for a small laptop, large workdesk/table. Very quiet room (a main, important point in my list of requirements for short/long term accommodation), thick curtains, luminous, clean, elegant, comfy (including two comfy chairs). Rich, and high quality breakfast, with fruits, legumes, milk, yoghurt, etc, with two options (continental cold/warm).

I cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Especially Andrew who checked us in at reception. Location was great. Right in the heart of Dublin City close to shopping, bars, restaurants. Great deal on parking with the car park across the street. The hotel was immaculately clean.

We flew overnight from Boston, Massachusetts and the hotel had our room ready early. We really appreciated that. The staff was outstanding in every area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. After walking around the city center, we came back to the hotel and enjoyed a late. snack and drink. One night we were too tired to go out so we ate dinner in the hotel and it was delicious and the service was great. The breakfast service was excellent.

Dunbrody House Hotel is like taki g a step into history. It is full of antique furnishings...beautiful gardens, and with modern accents. The tranquity was wonderful. It was peaceful and quiet, which was just what we wanted. It is set well into quiet parkland and forrest, the birdsong was spectacular. Food was also excellent, and the staff were lovely too. We would highly reccomend Dunbrody House.

The spa is small but very nice, the indoor/outdoor pool is unlike anything I have seen before and we absolutely loved it. Can't recommend the Lyrath enough and can't wait to go back again hopefully!

Attended a recent wedding in the hotel. The venue, staff and food was exceptional. Breakfast was beautiful, a lovely menu of hot breakfast choices to choose from, along with fresh juice. Food was a little slow, although it gave time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and enjoy the selection of yogurt, bread and pastries.

    Dublin is a wonderful city.

Dublin is a wonderful city. We enjoyed our tour guide of Trinity College and Library and the Book of Kells, it was awesome! Also the tour of the Jennie Johnson ship parked outside and the Irish Immigrant museum were excellent! We enjoyed a local pub Divette's and felt welcomed! Great music our last night! We had the best Irish beef stew! We had a wonderful day tour to Kilkenny. Wish we had more time in the central and rural parts of Ireland! Next visit!

Wexford is a beautiful county with lots of indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy. Some lovely beaches and hidden private pockets, beautiful spot for forrest walks and a fair amount of horse riding facitlities. Lovely galleries and craft spots. Beautiful little fishing villages. Often find great live music and good food in the same facility. You should dig around and wander. It's one of those counties that will surprise you if you make an effort and do a little research. Hosts a lot of different fesitivals through the year including wirting, art, opera and strawberry festivals. Lovely people and one of the best areas in Ireland for decent weather.

If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not for you. Dundalk is a former railway town, largely built round the (now defunct) works for the GNRI and with much 19th century red-brick architecture. It has a busy high street with a lot of small shops, pubs and restaurants, none are grand, it reminds me of similar towns in the UK before planning blight took hold. A lot of effort seems to have gone into smartening the place up in recent years, which is nice. Would that other towns of its scale have survived so well it would be nothing exceptional, but as so few have, it has a real charm. As a base, it is well sited to explore the countryside around, which has a long and interesting history, with a lot of historic sites.

Dun Laoghaire is a hip spot away from the huddle of the city Center. Great walking on the pier, waterfront and through the village. Some lovely restaurants and coffee shops . Breakfast at the Vanilla bean was lovely. The famous Forty Ft swimming spot is a short walk. Lots of quaint shops and vintage secondhand stores scattered along the Main Street . Good public transport on busses , trains and taxis . Aircoach to Dublin Airport from Marine rd opp City Hall. Market in the Peoples park is well worth a visit if you’re there over the weekend. Childrens fun fair on the waterfront runs daily from 12 noon till 7 pm . €3/ ride.
